Panda-PL- 0 Posted November 2, 2008 Great. Nice to see progress from you. You're hardly present on these forums but I am aware of the project and I have to compliment you for your ambitious approach. These are really well made models from what I can see, normal map, specular map, good details. You have captured the grim architecture and props very well. MehMan 0 Posted November 2, 2008 That's because they're ported from Stalker. Read the readme please.
the_shadow 0 Posted November 2, 2008 i would be delighted if anyone would make a stalker inspired island using these objects.. dont have to be that big.. maybe 4-5km across would be ok for me
datakill 1 Posted November 2, 2008 That's because they're ported from Stalker. Read the readme please. True, but there are still some works to do; When the guy is done converting this he just have a 3D model and a texture, then he still have some 3D work, cpp, normal map, specular map, shadows, etc... 136 objects. CameronMcDonald 146 Posted November 2, 2008 Thanks for your work, guys. However there are still quite a few bugs. For example, the large water towers have shadow problems, and can't be stood on (which means that you will often fall to your death trying to turn around). Also, the building with the MG position on top has no interior textures on the bit of the roof near the attic. Some more detail on the shadows of other objects would be nice too. Thanks again. SMERSH 0 Posted November 3, 2008 Thanks for the message on mistakes - I shall correct.
datakill 1 Posted November 3, 2008 Important note: An update is at work and should be released quickly. One of the reason is: the version 3.0 is not compatible with 2.0 due to some names changed in the cpp. That means you can't play missions edited with 2.0 while players are using the 3.0 version. Same for the island editors using this addon. The next update will also fix some problems described in "CameronMcDonald" feedback. Thanks
