Texture for Materials

yes they do affect performance but imho in that case u might as well make a box and call it M16. I think the biggest challange is to make it with all these features and still have it optimized. So think about things like:

-normal map size vs. rgba map size. For example having a normal map at 1024^2 and rgba at 512^2 is perfectly fine and is actually better as the most detail now comes from normals rather than rgb.

for things like palm trees try using tileable textures as much as possible.
