Island crashing

I have a dilemma where if I add (as an example) 50 AI per side and play test it, after about a minute of play it crashes to desktop.

I have my arma.RPT here:

I have managed to get my RPT down to only a few errors over the last week or two but I am just not sure what No more slot to add connection at 65673161 (6932.1,6275.3) means. Any ideas why my island would be crashing like this? Let me know if you guys need any more information. Any help would be very appreciated as I want to get this damn island released.

Happens when road network not closed, BiS island has it too. (for ex. when you build a parking lot with road objects). Otherwise check this grid position (5710.8,6356.4) and watch what there is.

Be sure you have unraped configs (*.cpp) from this objects in "p:/ca/" so binpbo can read it in the binarize prozess.

About crashing: Island size parameters (grid,cell,size)? and what says binpbo log after binarizing.

you are building your island inside the 'ca' BIS mod.

And, you say you've got ALL the BIS config's etc. extracted well...

When you run BinPBO and you are telling it to build P:\ca\kand folder into a .pbo are you specifying P:\ca as the 'Path To Project' folder in BinPBO 'options'?

If you are not then you should be... also, make sure you have the small config from the ca.pbo in the P:\ca folder... lot's of people forget that one...

Ah... well... you've added models to your island from cti_buildings...

NONE of the cti_buildings actually have configuration entries for insertion into islands as 'LAND_' objects...

they are dynmically created objects during mission runtime.

If you want to use them in your island... you'd have to go to the effort of creating a specific config 'Land_' type of entry for each and every 'building' model you are adding to your island... lotsa work... smile_o.gif

If that's the case then I give a big WTF directed @ BIS.

In the mean time I'll have to suffer and try this without the cti objects. which would put a huge dent in my already finished airbase and farps. Damnit I'll do this tomorrow. goodnight.gif

I understand the workings of configs but I am still new to this and will need an example of what to change and what configs need this change. I really appreciate this too and I will not give up until my island is released. Oh and does UlraEdit support regular expressions?

I used UnBuild ArmA by Maddox

But i dont use any stuff from the bis mlod pack (mlods or any cfg) and had never problems. Whats your binpbo option settings?

Hmm. why do you copy rvmats directly in binPbo... if you import Sat/Mask in text then you dont need rename the rvmats manual, binpbo do it. About the errors in log i think its relatet to some wrong files in ca foldier.

I reinstalled arma and the tools so that fixed most of the smaller issues. Binpbo works exactly the way it should now and yes I do import the sat and mask as text.

Ok. so now do I copy all of the folders to CA or do I only move the buildings, plants, roads, rocks, misc folders?

nevermind, I see what it did. :P

I think I'll just have to post up my source files and get another pair of eyes on this. I'm running out of options.

Well it gives me a completely different perspective I never would have considered before. I'll try my best to understand and implement this. Maybe then I could also understand what most of these errors mean that Binpbo generates.
