The Lost Brothers -Isaac and Ishmael Mod

Just a quick question/request.

Do you have any documentation containing all the class names? I couldn't find anything in the DL, hopefully I didn't miss them if they're there. I'd like to use this Mod in a few of my DAC made missions. I tried to do it manually but there's so many different units, it will take me hours. I'm slow.

These units are excellent, I'm dying to get them into a few missions using DAC. Big ups to you guys. The shear number of units, etc. is stunning.

No no class name lists unfortunately.

I should get around to doing that as you are right, it makes things easier to do replacements and stuff like that.

Is there a weapons crate for the IDF? I couldn't find one, but I also have so many items in the "empty" section in the editor that I may have missed it.( I should really get rid of some that I don't use. whistle.gif )

EDIT:

I'm not sure if this bug is coming from a conflict or from the Merkava itself but the gunner and commander positions have the same problem as the AAVP. They stick out of the vehicle when aboard.

Can anyone else confirm this?

You should haven't to place them anywhere. The official update to 1.14 should have installed everything automatically. If they showed up in your ArmA folder, leave them alone. They should work fine although there should not be an Addons folder in your main ArmA directory.

Also don't load from the beta but from the normal ArmA.exe instead.

That would be very cool if you could do that for us as right ow what time we have to spare is being spent on a ton of different projects.

Any lists of class names we'll then put in our update pack (which will include some bug fixes and some new addons) and of course please post it here for everyone if you get one made. Even myself I often get frustrated because I don't have a class name list handy when I'm making missions and I hate digging through configs looking them. lol!

That would be great. Eventually all class names would be great but what I'm really interested in is the weapons/ammo class names. That way I could script them into my own crate.

Yeah sure no prob. Been stressed trying to get things sorted for the squad I wanna start up, so I could use something else to focus on to take a break, lol.

I'll try doing as much as I can (i.e. soldier class names, weapons, and vehicle class names). Not sure about ammo/mags if it'll be needed to or if everything uses the standard BIS ones. Not sure when it'll be completed, as there's quite a bit to go through, but I'll do my best for you guys. thumbs-up.gif

ok iv got the Magach7C in game working ok thanks to the lad who did a port over of it nice work been working on the textures for it comeing on ok still got more to do on it but looking nice tell me wot ya think you lot  biggrin_o.gif

Um.... the Magach 6 looks fine, but the Magach 7C I think looks worse now as all the texture details are gone. I can't see many of the rivets and dirt splotches and stuff like that.

You get around that by using the Hue/Saturation adjustment on PhotoShop (assuming your using Photo Shop) to adjust the shade of green without losing detail.  No need for blending stuff.

Do you know how to merge textures or how to do normal/specular mapping?   The shade of texture color is actually spot on.. no problem there...but removing all the detail is not good.

ok good news i got the LoBo_Magach6A in and working in game looks sweet but its got a bug or two but if some one can fix it ill think it will work ok

No idea what that bug is...never seen that...looks like a simple texture bug though. Did you change anything major in the config?

Everything else on the Magach6 looks fine.

As for the Magach 7C, it still looks a bit wierd as it looks now like it has ERA on the front.  Before it had bolted applique armor on the front which was actually from the Magach 7A textures (which is accurate). The Magach 7C has a few bolts but is mostly flat.  There are some great pics here:

Really the whole sideskirt probably needs new texture mapping (or even new modelling into seperate armor pieces) as the original textures were a bit off and used parts of the front hull texture.  The turret is looking better though.

Hey fellas, I finished v.1 of the "At-a-Galnce" readers guide to the LOBO classnames, and compiled it into a nice PDF. You can download it from my site (I knew that damn thing would finally come into use for something, lol):

I didn't want to do just a quick plain text file (yucky), so I put a quick touch on it to make it somewhat presentable. In addition, you'll notice an entire side area for pictures/screens of each class. Unfortunately I haven't gotten around to taking pictures (there is a LOT to take) and would take way too long right now. I figured why do today what you can put off till tomorrow, heh.

Actually, I figured in case if people needed them now, I don't want to hold anyone up unnecessarily--which is why the absence for the weapon and ammo classes for now, which would also take a bit of time.

I kept all documents, etc--so if an update should be done, it'll be easy to just keep adding without starting from scratch, which can be a pain in the butt. Either way, I hope you guys find this useful. I wanted to finally help for once instead of giving a "wow, cool" comment. I figured its about time to step up and be a part of the community and lend a hand where and when I can. smile_o.gif

That "bug one" is pretty easy. Check the M1A1 / T-72 model from BI samples and you will notice some additional points 0.15 below the tracks and included in the dampers section. Those are more or less "sensors" for the wheels / tracks when running over a stone etc.

I usually copy the most below podkolo (? I cannot remember exactly atm.), move them 0.15 down and resize them using factor 0.9 for x and z. This way the "sensors" should be located just below the middle of the tracks.

An alternative cause may be that the tacks and the wheels are not connected in the skeleton section of the config ("koloL1", "podkoloL1" etc.).

Btw.: You may also check the BI samples geometry for the hull. The is some space to the ground, which enables the tank to run over stones without bumping into the air. I have sent Miles an WIP of a tank, you may use as blueprint.

Bug two seems to be located in some views (gunner or commander), where some sections seem to lack textures (looks like a cargo view for me, but I am not sure).

thanks for the info on the bugs as for the M60 with the ERA i still have all the textures to put on it i wos lucky i have a M60 with all the textures with it as for the 7C thats in game and workin with all textures now still have some work to do on it so ill keep you all posted

ok iv up dated the m60 iv got most of it workin in the editer

got the Commanders Hatch workin now for the views i think iv worked it out

iv Replaced all the wheels on some LOD.s and the to back ones with ones from bis M1 i must say it looks nice biggrin_o.gif

i may need some help still to get it workin all ok

Miles will anyone convert the lebanon map from ofp that will b nice coz it was really nice with the border maping between the 2 countries...

and wat happend 2 the zelda mg position u guys didnt fix it yet coz it will b nice also 2 have it or if someone can add the upgrades 2 the bis M113 model in arma it will look good... smile_o.gif

thanks and its blaz to ma m8 any way the back wheels on the old one where S**T so i had to put new ones on it still as bugs but if some one wud like to do the fix.s for the M60 ERA blazer pm me the LoBo_Egypt_M60A1 textures on just need a bit of a up date to tham i still have the Jordan_M60A1 to do

The A-10 looks cool, but unfortunately the IAF doesn't use that aircraft in real life.
