Shadow_Spyder 0 Posted August 27, 2008 I try running the run.exe and i get this: "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item. " or soemthing along those lines. I am the system admin so I don't know wtf it's talking about.... any tips? ~~EDIT~~ and trying the batch file will load up the cmd prompt for a second, it closes, and nothing happens. I have right clicked, edited, and changed the starting line to my arma directory, which is normal default except for I use E drive and not the normal C drive. ~~EDIT~~ Got it working now.... wipman 1 Posted August 27, 2008 Hi, i get this error message whenever i open the island in the editor: And seems that when i get close or try to enter into that junkyard (marked with the jeep's icon) it closes my ArmA giving me a error with the arma.exe . gsleighter 0 Posted August 27, 2008 I've got a bug for you guys, and I've been able to reproduce it. Every time I'm using the select brush (Hotkey "T") to select a water surface object, the frame rate dips below 1 FPS, and the only option is to restart the mission. I'm trying to make a large flat plane of water objects, in the Applegate Lake source files. It's becoming something of a showstopper for this project, unfortunately. wipman 1 Posted August 27, 2008 Hi, it's true; i don't get any error message when im on Avgani v1.1, but when i look at the warfare (empty) factory or whatever that be, i got the same ArmA.exe error and subsecuential CTS. icebreakr 3157 Posted August 27, 2008 It's too bad the island is too small for our operations but she's very beautiful. What are your operations, air delivery from Sahrani? this island is big enough for infantry/light armor combat, especially when you put rebel outposts on Northern part. Enter the Editor Pick your island Place your Rob the Builder Preview the map Use Start 3DE action menu to start the 3DE editor Start a new Project Load the new Project you just created From the Data Pool button at the top, drill down using the menus just below to place your items (INS key to place an item once it's where you want it) Once you're happy with the layout Save your Project At the bottom of the 3DE choose 'Save mission file' Abort the mission preview Exit the Editor Exit the Game From Windows go to your missions folder, usually (C:\Documents and Settings\windowsuser\My Documents\ArmA Other Profiles\YourPlayer\missions) and create a new mission folder. For instance myProj.intro for a mission on Rahmadi. From the ArmAExt/Files folder copy the sqm file you just saved to your new myProj.intro folder and rename it as mission.sqm So it'll be myProj.intro\mission.sqm now instead of myProj.intro\myProj-intro.sqm or something. Load your normal game Enter the Editor Pick your island Load your myProj.intro mission Change the player back to a playable unit instead of Rob Enjoy! There's more to it, but that's the basics. No other addons should be used at this time because possible conficts with other addons could be happend. I placed everything were its supposed to be + i have all the needed files in @mapfact+addons including Keys.. Second: I cant EDIT the run.bat file... wipman 1 Posted August 29, 2008 Hi, since i installed this addon... i get continuous CTS's by aparently no reason at all; the last addons that i installed were: - MAP_3DEmap v1.1 - MAP_EU v1.1 - MAP_Services v1.1 And also the RED_FIX v1.2 and that "fixed" Avgani v1.1 . mrcash2009 0 Posted August 29, 2008 I haven't got around to delving into this tool (it looks pretty sweet already from what Ive seen of it) but I did have some time to drop in the island and have an hours play on it. This Island is superb, I love the look of it and the floor/grass textures, visually its something different from most maps as regards that aspect. Unique buildings, nice layout. I don't think its too small for ops, great for spec ops infiltration etc. For now (until I get decent time to play around with the tool), excellent work on the island lads, its superb. wipman 1 Posted August 29, 2008 Hi, i think that i've found the problem, after remove the previously named addons/pbo's and mod folder... seems that i forget an extra ";" in the ArmA's shortcut, now the other two shortcuts (the original and other for MP gaming) the ArmA don't CTS with any of this, now i just should try with the other where i've all the best ArmA addons installed, but i think that we can breath easy; my issue could be solved.
