Mapfact releases 3DE-Project

Hey mate

Armaext has to be placed into the arma root folder

seems that you have edited the batch

The only thing you should be change are the normal startup parameter

not the first part of the batch

armaext always start the arma.exe automaticly from one directory higher DO NOT CHANGE THIS !

run "..\arma.exe" -mod=DBE1;@mapfact

after this your normal startparams like -nospash or the profile thing

I've got problem with importing my project to ArmA editor. Every time when I run my project (earlier exported as mission.sqm) it pops-up something about lack of file ("\\MAP_3DE\ODE\ODE_Set_Pitch_Bank.sqf") - more or less...

EDIT: I found the solution. There is one useless "\" in the adress to this file. Unfortunately I already set around 60 objects and I probably will have to fix it manually...argh...

it was in the root, but i did change the whole thing.

könnt mich in boden verkriechen, grrrr.

was a stupid mistake, thanks for your help it works now biggrin_o.gif

The same thing with "Create SQF file" ... same error.

I don't know how to stop AVG,

Antivir can stopped really easy to let the "fingers" away from this exe in specific directorys:

My anti-virus programme found something in 3DE rar but I just clicked Allow and it left the rar alone.

Hi, the MAP EU 1.1 mirrors in Armaholic.com don't work (right now).

And the MAP EU 1.1 download in Armedassault.info is bugged (right now). Let's C ya

Every time i load the editor and click Empty - i get an error..?

and with that there is a load of blank spaces where the catogory for the MAP_EU objects are..

Hi, i get a diferen error message when i open that map; but it just

apears when i open it in the editor, i don't know if it may affect at

the time to enter in MP.

What i get now and that really surprises me, it's this:

Look at the Harrier's canopy... someone else gets this bug?, i don't

had it before or at least i didn't noticed it if it was there, there are

the names of the latest .pbo's that i've installed, and i say this here

because i don't really know if this belongs to this thread or to the

ArmA's v1.14 Feedback thread. But i'll like to know if someone else

have that weird error with the Harriers; i also have installed the

latest ArmA Effects v1.1 today too. Let's C ya

i've run into a bit of a problem getting the editorupdate to work in the 3d editor.

the editor update puts the objects in unnamed folders, which i presume the editor ignores because it has no name. is there anything i can do to make the editor update available in the 3d editor?

AVG workaround (I think), after you download and un-rar the MAP3d Editor:

1) Update to AVG Free 8.0. I was using 7.5, and it didn't have the same options.

2) Once AVG Free 8 is installed, go into tools -> advanced settings -> resident shield -> exceptions. There, add BOTH whatever your unzipped Map3d folder is *and* the ArmA root directory.

3) Copy the ArmAExt folder from your unzip location to the ArmA root directory.

Also, to save some of those like me who run windowed, add "-window" to the run.bat command line. wink_o.gif (Took longer than I'd care to admit to remember that one.) biggrin_o.gif

I have invested a lot of time to remove bugs in 3DE, reported from the whole 3DE-team.

I know there are even smaller bugs, but difficult to understand because they rarely occur and not every one is affected.

If the 3DE behave strangely, please hit the ESC key and restart the 3DE (by Action menu).

Most errors can be resolve with this solution.

i had a reproduceable bug with the 3d-editor, AND !! the mission on the new island.

i was testing with a friend together the editor for like 2 hours. (without trackir) than we deside to play the mission. so i started trackir-software and we went into mission. after a time (10-20min) my 1 screen went black than the secomd than the sound disapears, then a bluescreen appears. restart of vista 64.

that happen a second time when we restart the mission. so we said the island or mission is bugged.

then i left trackir on, and we went again into the 3deditor. and after 10 to 20 min , bam , a bluescreen appears. i switched trackir off and we where for 4 hours wink_o.gif again in the editor.

so may your check into this, because i can´t play arma without my trackir wink_o.gif

in vanilla arma, 6thsense-mod , test-addon-modfolder , trackir is working well !

Oh my good

I have also lying aroud a trackir but i never used it for editing :-)

I will try to find this BUG but Silola hasn´t a Trackir so it mayby take some time.

First at all there is no Trackir Support in 3DE

to be more precise: the mission (sector fight) we played was on your new island. and it produces also an bluescreen.

ofcourse started with the mapfact-addonfolder, but not with the *.bat .
