Hi, in this kind of building the AI or the players can shot from the

stairs to outside/inside, as there wasn't any wall at all covering the

stairs.

^^ Yup, happened to me too. Still had a laugh because my virtual body fell through the staircase wall, landed outside and i was able to call a cruise missile saturation attack on my pos just before my character died biggrin_o.gif

Hi, that's something that i miss and that i find weird that they're

not (yet) present on the map, one or two electrical generators;

but there's space enough for place 'em ourselves, ever that we've

the Editor Upgrade 1.02 that comes with the 6Th Sense Mod 1. Let's C ya

Hi m8,

Excellent work!!

I have a problem though.I get this error when trying to load the island:-

cannot open object ca\desert2\build\ladder.p3d.

Queens Gambit stuff.If no-one can host this with dedicated server this is 99% chance is the problem.

Hint for everyone- If you have to click on an "Ok" in the editor to get past an error in SP,a dedicated server wont let you past it.

Anyone else getting the error without running QG?

check if the file "Desert2.pbo" is present in arma\addons

ah yes... Luckily I just bought QG Havn't installed it yet cos theres so many good addons at the moment :-)

If you want a temporary fix for the QG ladder error download THIS

config. Unpack the Avgani pbo and replace the config, then repack.

That should fix it.. I hope..

This is a very nice map, well done. As already remarked above, the custom buildings match perfectly with the default Arma and display good attention to detail (e.g. the reward posters inside the police station).  For the final release version it may be good to check the config of the various buildings though and check for the destrType. Some buildings currently do not sink into the ground, but rather fall on their side when hit. Time and enthusiasm permitting, it may be an option to increase the damage some of the custom buildings can sustain, as various types are currently destroyed with a single shot from a tank. Default buildings from Arma tend to need multiple shots before collapsing.

I tried making most buildings indestructible because I don't know how to add destruct models yet. If some buildings are falling over or still collapsing it's cause I missed them.

Loving this map.

One thing that would be nice is if the walls on the roof of the police station were a bit shorter to allow for people to shoot down from them.

Loving the little details that this map has too!

I was just checking the map out further and noticed by the checkpoint area there's barriers in the road. I was wondering if this could be something left up to the mission maker instead, as I've got in my possession some nice barriers that I'd like to use, but can't now. If you prefer to just leave it as is, that's cool either way, mate. smile_o.gif

Avgani Iraq (Opteryx) + Jonny's Marines (joe @ jonny) + UPARMORED HMMWV (NZXSHADOWS) + insurgents units (FFAA Mod) = great missions in the desert, Opteryx congratulations

I second 2 points made here.

1. Lowering of police station roof walls.

2. Removal of checkpoints. The checkpoints already being setup limits the amount of scenarios you can have take place in the city.

Other than that this is one of the best city maps out there.

Hi, i really don't find the checkpoints names in the map a so big

issue, when i play i rarely use the "show textures" option more than

15secs to order X units to move to a certain location where theyr

camo, equipment or the orders that they've assigned can take

some advantage of the terrain that certain area where i've ordened

'em to go. So if it will depend on me... i'll leave the names there;

but it don't depends on me. Let's C ya

on the way into Avgani from the south, there is telephone poles on the road, or beside it, can somebody please tell me the name of the P3D file so i can use it in one of my maps?huh.gif
