MehMan 0 Posted July 8, 2008 Top news. Pretty sweet, I worked with the guy on another mod, damn, never knew how good he got. That map looks sweet. That's pretty top quality to come from a modder, I think the map can quite easily rival the stock ones, at least by looks. Haven't played it, but I heard only one bad comment from a really jealous person. Also, the awards are pretty spanky, 1000$ and nvidia 8800s to the winners. That's a pretty nice deal there that they achieved with nvidia. Perhaps a bit of a hint for BIS.

chops 49 Posted July 22, 2008 I bought this game on Ebay, played the first two missions about 4 months ago and haven't touched it since. Their just seed no real strategy to it at all. It did seems to require any thought, just furious mouse clicks. It doesn't provide the player with any opportunity to plan anything. Another thing that irritated me was the necessity of micro-managing units. As commander, I shouldn't have to tell a Bradley to fire it's TOW at an enemy tank. I'm hoping to be proved wrong though. Can anyone enlighten me to the joys of this game?
echo1 0 Posted July 25, 2008 As with any game, its worth playing past the first few missions to get into the swing of things. The first few missions will always be ones to ease in new players into the swing of things. As you play along in the game, you are required to place increasing amounts of thought into how you will hold your positions and how to go about attacking enemy ones. I would say of all the modern-based RTS games, WIC is by far the best one Ive played (and Ive certainly played a lot of them).
The_Captain 0 Posted July 26, 2008 SP = Meh. Skirmish and MP = fun. In SP, the computer throws horde of dumb units at you at close range, which is very boring, and it spoonfeeds you objectives a la Call of Duty. However, in multiplayer you get to control a small force and cooperate with other players and try to dominate an entire map. This is where you get a bit of tactical planning. However, it's a tad twitchy: you still need to micromanage a lot, but in multiplayer, you only have 4-6 units to deal with so it's not too bad.
walker 0 Posted July 26, 2008 Hi all Command Engine in ArmA is better than this. And ArmA AI is strategically stronger. Kind regards walker
