JuggernautOfWar 1 Posted July 8, 2008 This may be in the wrong section on these forums, of so, feel free to move it. What is the option in the texture setting called "Default"? How is it different from Very High? Will this increase or decrease FPS? I have a AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ ~2.8 GHz, 2 GB of RAM (DDR2 800), and an Nvidia 8800 GTS 640 MB. I want the smoothest possible frame rate while still looking good so I can better .
Hud Dorph 22 Posted July 8, 2008 As i remember it the "default" was for graphics-cards with 768mb and more vram.

Beagle 684 Posted July 8, 2008 Very simple.. the default setting will set the texture size according to your amount of Vram. At least that's what the 1.08 readme said: "New texture detail "Default" that autodetects the amount of VRAM. Recommended Texture Detail setting for users of cards with more than 512 VRAM"
JuggernautOfWar 1 Posted July 9, 2008 Ah, OK, thanks. I've got 640 memory on my graphics card, so should I use Default then?
