mireazma 0 Posted May 28, 2008 Hello. I'm posting here before sending a mail to support@bistudio.com because maybe someone has encountered the same problem and could help me with a little advice. I can't play OPF  o n  m y  n e w  P C . I installed the game (I have OPF gold edition) and when I run it, the Operation Flashpoint logo pops up (as it should) but after this it shuts down. I took a look in Task Manager and noticed that "~ef7194.tmp" appears in the temp directory, launches "Operation flashpoint" and they both disappear. I've reinstalled several times on different Windows-es but unsuccessfully. I mention that I'm able to play the game on a system: Chipset SIS Duron 900 MHz 256 MB SDRAM ATI RADEON 9250 256 MB RAM with no difficulties at all. (This is my old PC) I've also heard that there are some problems with VIA chipset; not that I have a VIA based motherboard but maybe the problem is related; here is my faulty configuration: Motherboard MSI K9A2 CF Chipset AMD 790x (supports AM2+ HT 3 CPU) AMD Athlon 64 x2 4200+ (2200 MHz) 2 GB DDRAM ATI RADEON HD 2600 pro 512 MB RAM (AMD dual core optimizer installed) Since I'm able to play from the disk, I consider the possibility that the system is what causes the problem. mireazma 0 Posted June 1, 2008 I have the gold edition pack (OPF CWC 1.00 and Gold upgrade-red hammer); I only can install OPF CWC 1.00. I can't install anything more, not even red hammer, not to mention other upgrades. In the end, I think it has to do with CD checking like Suma guessed; but I don't have a pirated copy. If I had, I wouldn't complain. I've installed it on 2 different Windows (both XP pro sp2) with the same result. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
