Total disappointment in AA. I've never played a game as gltichy and frustrating as this one. Not to mention, the campaign story line was SOOOOOOOOOOO dry and tacky, it was sad. A total step-back from Flashpoint.

Dont even get me started on multiplayer. Hack city. Can't even enjoy it. This has been the worst $50 I've spent on a game... EVER.

I have my extreme reservations about ARMA2. Hey, ever thought about drifting away from the soviet theme?

and yes, ArmA sucs pneis on general but run it with a few selected addons in a Domination environment - great fun.

I was talking about Arma2 being soviet theme...again.

C'mon, gimme some credit guys! You'd actually think BH would invest a little more into storyboard development... like I said before, MP is far from impressive, so I rely on SP. Tacky, thats all I am saying.

And a user shouldn't have to mod out in order for the game to simply work. I'm just fed up and disappointed with it already. Thats all.

There is already a thread for all complaints regarding armed assault and i think i can pretty much speak for everyone just about that there is enough ArmA complainers on this fourm which we are simply just not intrested of listening (or reading). By the nature of your thread ive already been led to the impression that Armed Assault isnt for you

so please.....go back to BF/COD4 or wherever you came from

Regardless of whether you think ArmA sux, ArmA rulez or somewhere in between, you have to admit that its better than many games out there just for the simple fact that its highly moddable. While I agree that ArmA was a bit of a Pita out of the box the community has stepped up and made it something much more enjoyable to play and the devs continue to churn out patches to help fix the major issues.

Lets see a company like Codemasters, or even EA make this claim.

you know... we have 1.12 beta now, but this game for me was *** till 1.08 , because i had CTD often before patch

Although I agree on some points, there are certainly more mature ways to voice dissatisfaction with a game than a thread like this. Assuming that it will be closed, like all the others, when a mod sees it, I'm happy to ignore it from now on.

I play BF2 and COD4 yet i still enjoy arma loads.. fair enough even i admit arma has its glitches..

No need to get biased..

but the glitches on BF2 and cod4 are just harder to notice..

I think the 1.12 arma patch is superb.. So much has improved thanks to the community

ArmA runs great on my PC with the 1.12 patch. It ran good with the 1.08. I am a guy who buys pretty much every modern PC shooter ...ArmA is head and shoulders above anything out there. There is no other game/Sim out there that even comes close to the freedom, and scope of battle..except Operation Flashpoint. As stated before, a more mature approach to your concerns, would produce constructive conversation. But I suppose a guy with 2 posts in 5 years, is no very well versed in communication skills.

Cant be a too big letdown if you already think about gettin the sequel...

I dont know what everyoen expects but since the last patches ArmA is a completely different game ( compared to 1.00 that is ).

It runs smooth, looks lot better, it feels lot better, its lot less buggy.

Oh and, what about the soviet topic?

Cant remember seing any russian in ArmA.

And ArmA2, thank god its russians again instead of this half assed SLA, also if i see that right you have good and bad russians this time.

Fighting side by side with them against the rebels surely would be intresting.

When I first played Arma I was SO ANGRY.

It lagged like hell, the keys where a pain to reconfigure, the helicopter controls where hard to master, the acting was bad, the controls were wooden and unresponsive...

I uninstalled it and left it on my shelf for months.

I played Cod4 which was awesome and some other games and then I decided to give it another chance, mostly out of boredom.

This was what happened with Operation Flashpoint too. I was the regural Quake fan and Flashpoint looked and played like $#!+ back then, so I left it on my shelf for a year before I gave it another chance and realized it was the BEST GAME EVER IN THE WORLD, OH MY GOD!

I thought that this could be the deal with Arma too.

And I wasn't wrong.

You see good sirs, Armed Assault is like a this woman that can make all your dreams come true but she is A TOTAL HIGH MAINTENANCE SUPER-BITCH!

She is moody, picky, very prone to start a fight in the middle of sex and most probably your friends hate her too.

But once you get to know her, once you look beyond her unfriendly personality and her annoying character, you see a wonderful person... There is nothing you can't do with her. You can take this woman anywhere. Experience everything. You can sit in your room and smoke a blunt or take her to a safari in the middle of the jungle. She won't say no. She can fight. She can dance and write poetry. She knows science and can shred a guitar.

She is everything you ever wanted and you know it.

And the most important thing. If you spend enough money on her, get her some new clothes and stuff, she looks stunning.

Ok, I think I sounded creepy enough but you ALL know what I am talking about.

So, mr Dissapointed dude... Give that game another chance.

this forum is full of people that managed to appreciate what this game is all about, same way you loved Operation Flashpoint. Do you think all those people aren't dissapointed for some reason or other? They are, indeed. There is even a subforum for them to voice their complaints.

But they know that there is no other game where they can fly a plane in the middle of the desert, launch a scud while the aliens fight the terrorists, kill the enemy president from 3 miles away, drive a tank in the enemy airport, steal a chopper, fall with a parachute in the middle of the night while a thunderstorm rages over the mountains, steal the sports car and escape to the beach to go fishing.

(that would make an excellent mission)

That's what this game is all about.

Now play it.
