Well im not a english native so Ill blame it at that. As for the gaz prices, we have a large tax percentage on our gaz, and its increasing every year. This comes in addition to the market controlled price increases.

Damn....now I'm going to have to find the "Dukes of Hazzard" theme song for a mission.  "Just some good ol' boys..."

Oh...you MUST stick in the General Lee's trademark horn sound when you honk the horn.  lol! I forget the name of the tune it honks..."Dixie" or "Whistleing Dixie" or something like that. (I should know this living in the deep South and growing up watching that show....(sigh)).

Now we just need some early 80's retro police cruisers and Boss Hogs white cadillac convertable with the long horns on the hood. Now THAT's big pimp'n when you got long horn bull horns on the hood of your luxury car.

Hi, as everyone knows... if hang out of your Cadillac Coupe 76' a

damn pair of bull's hornes; you deserve to be cruzified, stabbed

with the most rusty knife that you could find and then get some

good voodoo to ensure that you never gonna go to heaven.

Make that to a Cadi Coupe 76' it's a sin and deserves the death

penalty.

As cop car i'll preffer a good Pontiac Catalina 74' or some 50's Ford

or Mercury cuban style, i think that they'll fit better; and a volkwagen

bettle as taxi, mexican "style..." will be nice too. Let's C ya

Bad thing is, there are in most of ur cars very much bugs... like cant cross bridge, indestructibility etc.

Hi, a proof that the Punk is not the only good thing that came out

from the 77'.

Ford Ranchero 77' (yellow).

Chevy El Camino 77' (yellow).

The Camino always look better in black; if you Sigma-6, could make

those or one of 'em... we may not need to touch again a BIS pick up

but i guess that you must be very bussy with the Chevy pick up

and hell that damn über pimp Charger RT 68'. Let's C ya

Hmm. You know, I need people who know how to config, create damage effects, and make vehicle anims for ArmA to work with me on these. This is a lot of work to do with as limited time as I have, by myself.

Some people seem to be annoyed at me (or something) for releasing 'nonfunctional' addons: the released ones had been sitting on my HD in that state for over a year, and they weren't going to get released otherwise, because I didn't have the time, so I released them. I still need people to help with them. Short of that, there are not a lot more features likely.

Oh, and yeah, the General should have the 'Dixie' horn (I have the sound). The Road Runner should also have the 'beep beep' horn sound.

Hi, the only help that i could offer is with the textures; but i don't

know anything about UV maps, just normals; and the only complain

that i have, is that the vehicles are not signed; so they can't be

used in MP without the signature and the bikey.

This isn't "really" an issue, seems that most of the servers that use

signed addons... rename or resign 'emselves the addons so if you

want to play on theyr server... you've to download again your own

addon, but signed by those luckless without even ask you if: "hey,

can i block the players easy and free access to our server and sign

your addon as if it were mine?; "don't worry... you just have to have

three, four or five times the same addons in your HD in order to be

able to play in different servers... 'couse we like to re-sign YOUR

addons". But well, as i've said... i could only help with the textures

that's really my field, but i doubt that i be good enough to get

something at the same quality level. Let's C ya

Adding damage effects isn't all that hard, especially if the whole vehicle is textured in just a few paa's.

See my tips half way down this thread (2 posts).

Just use any of the default BIS "burnt" textures (the similar size version) and you can have a damaged vehcile in minutes (or 20).

To elaberate on the config;

This lists out the textures you want damaged, in groups of threes;

- First quote in the normal (no damage) texture

- Second is half damage texture (in my case I'm just using normal)

- Third is full damage texture

Hey, just realised something ..... I've recently been using the "texturename_co_destruct.rvmat" format ... but just noticed I'd accidently dropped the "_co" from the Piper example ........ this may explain why that plane is the only one I have that has that very nice "some burnt paint, some original paint" effect. (I think the default BIS burnt textures have a transparent layer)

There is also simple ways to make whole sections of your model disappear (like maybe dashboards) and even raise the landcontact points so to simulate burnt out tyres.

But if you really still need a hand, I can probably find some time.

Wouldn't that make the vehicle sink into the road/terrain doing it

steer much worst than normaly?, there isn't a way of substitute

the damaged wheel model for a half flat tyres?; just a bit flat, not

flat like a 10yo girly... just enough as for make the car behave

weird and reduce it's performance, top speed and handling. That

will be for me the best way of simulate flattened tyres due to

damage, shots or for drive over sharpened debris or objects. Let's C ya

Geez Wipman, get with the program, lol, I'm only talking about a full damaged model ..... hence the "it's performance, top speed and handling" would be nil biggrin_o.gif

2 tricks here

- Under the rubber tyre, have simple hubs / rims textured

- Make the rubber part of the wheels one of the bits you can make disappear when fully damaged

- When the vehicle is fully damaged;

a) Hide the rubber textured section

b) raise the landcontact points

Bingo, it looks like its sitting on the ground with burnt-out hubs / rims.

Thanks, Gnat. . . I think that since the configs and the features and everything are basically the same for all of these vehicles, the trick would just be in coming up with a single common configuration for one, and then applying it to the others with little tweaks and changes where appropriate. If you could help out, that would be what I'd aim at, just a single config for the most complicated setup, and answering a few questions maybe about things I don't know how to do yet in ArmA. . .
