Compact Fix Pack for ArmA v1.14B by zGuba

=========================================

v1.14B - many minor fixes, too many to count... for example ZGB_RACS_Faces and ZGB_SLA_Faces can work together smile_o.gif

New elements:

- Franze's Flares

- Horn

- Mandoble's Ejection Seats

- Radar & GPS

- Vehicle Laser Designator

- Vehicle Nightvision

Most important: You'll need Extended Eventhandlers to run the new addons.

v1.14 - (yes, 1.14 as the 1.2 wasn't really done) more simple improvements based on various people's work. I remember at least Chops, Karaya and Solus - thank you!

- Yeb's Grenade Name Fix is excluded from the Fix as it wasn't working sad_o.gif obtain the original Yeb's GNF!

- Language Fix is now fully working

- fixed grid zoom levels

- AI is no longer sniping aircraft pilots out and engages aircrafts better (crewVulnerable = 1, no revolution there)

- Laser scanner enabled for some aircrafts, the Vikhrs may lock on laser designated target (not sure if my solution really works)

- M1A1's HEAT got airLock = 1 (I heard that it may be used against enemy helicopters...) the AI does not seem to use it anyways

- Redone RACS / SLA Nationality fix (updated method)

"v1.2" - Yeb's Grenade Name Fix is oficially included into pack [bugger me xD]

v1.1 - Separated Queens Gambit map fix

The final pack v1.14B contains 10 .pbo files:

- ZGB_ConfigFix.pbo

Little clientside config fix. 2A42, FFARs, AI uses PG7V against choppers, and RPG & M136 only against vehicles only in close ranges with decreased precision, turrets starting engine disabled, AI attacks the aircrafts like in SLX Mod, enabled sweeping for FFAR Mi-17 and UH-60, BIS islands maps have 100/1000 grids and 6 digit military coordinates system [fixed zoom].

- ZGB_ConfigFix_QG.pbo- 100/1000 grids and 6 digit military coordinates system for Porto and United Sahrani. Disable it if You don't have Queens Gambit.

- ZGB_Flares.pbo

Improved Franze's countermeasures system. Beta version, working good! Thanks go to Franze, william1 and Frederf! Requires XEH and Dta\ZGB_Flares_Settings.hpp (file that comes with the archive).

Here comes the problem: arrays definied in .hpp file aren't working for me, and sqf function (originally made by Frederf) drives me crazy with my own bugs...

Currently addon works on modified Franze's sqs file - and that's working perfectly! smile_o.gif have You ever seen damaged aircraft pilot ejecting in fear of incoming missile in ArmA? biggrin_o.gif

- ZGB_Horn.pbo

Adds horns to driver position for armed M939, HMMWVs and UAZs. [weird things happen to UAZ driver when switching between gunner and driver position... it may be SLX Vehicles modelling bug or whatever - need help!]

Requires XEH to work.

- ZGB_LanguageFix.pbo and ZGB_LanguageFix_Bin.pbo

Multilingual vehicle and weapon designation fix. It's made similar way as my previous one Polish language fix. Languages affected:

English, Czech, German, Polish, Russian, French, Spanish, Italian

Polish players would also have some bonuses like better radio stringtable or Armory comments for civilian cars wink_o.gif

I need support from native speakers so it could be more complex!

- ZGB_MES.pbo

Adds ejection effect to BIS jets and Ka-50! + life saving pontoons for all aircrews ejected over sea! Based on highly modified Mando's ejection script, come with sounds. Credits go to Mandoble!!!

Requires XEH to work.

- ZGB_Radar_GPS.pbo

Modifies position of these HUD instruments.

- ZGB_RACS_Faces.pbo and ZGB_SLA_Faces.pbo

These addons have completely opposite effect: the first excludes black faces from RACS soldiers, and the second adds them to SLA troops. I suggest You to choose one and delete the other.

- ZGB_VLD.pbo

Based on same concept as Solus, done _independently_ at the beginning of the 2008 year. Adds laser designators to Cobra and Hokum (not working on tanks). Thanks, Solus!

I took additional config settings from SLX mod's VehLD.

Requires XEH to work.

- ZGB_VNV.pbo

Press your "Compass" key while doing night missions in armored vehicle or airplane. Compatible with and based on sHole's NightVision! Thanks, sHole!

Requires XEH to work.

Yeb's Grenade Name Fix is no longer included! Obtain Yeb's original addon!!!

Can it / does it include Yeb's Realistic Designation or will it conflict ? Would be good to have one and only one mod on this part.

About Realistic designation, it only supports english language so far (quick and dirty to be honest).

I'll update it with new and more accurate names, I don't know when as I'm currently in exam period, and thus studying.

Yes [Grenade Name Fix is obsolete with my pack], but Yeb's realistic weapon designation fix may be overwritten. It's first international release so far and I'm going to polish it in the future.

All the is overwrited when using Yeb Real Des' is some aircraft aircraft names thats all.

Sorry to say this but maybe spelling add-ons which is i this mod folder to be all in lower case rather than throwing the odd upper case letter in for good measure it might work lol ,it was not a problem just noticed and only an observation of course.

Plus after all this it still not working and looking for some else that it needs from QG could some one help in this area. thank you

One thing that bothers me a little is that AI engaging enemy vehicles has a hard time hitting the target over a reasonably low distance, in my opinion. Aren't these RPGs / AT4s quite accurate on 100-200m? (never used one myself in real life, and with any luck I never have to ;) ) I had to laugh quite hard when a friendly SLA guy in my squad missed an enemy M1A1 on 100m and then started cursing in Russian (thanks, ECS!) - other than that (rather minor downside, by the way - it's not like they miss all the time) this mod is a huge improvement! Thanks a lot!

Rocket launchers AI dispersion values are gathered from OFP SLX mod, as far as I remember... I'll lower 'em down a bit.

Personally, I've made changes to Q1184's Wind Deflection addon, so it affects all local M136 and RPG's - RPG's don't bother me so much while strafing by Littlebirds. (However it seems to act weird... does PG-7V grenade turn against wind? Gonna check it out)

Hi

I've put the @zGuba folder in ArmA main folder,

deleted the two QG Files because I don't have the QG expantion.

I also added: -mod=@zGuba in the target-bar of my shortcut.

And still... I can't see the new changes in the game, the first-person view and the third-person view are still very zoomed-in.

I'm on 1.14 BTW.
