Sound problems

Recommended Posts

i just installed new drivers for my TNT2 videocard and now when i play the game the sound stutters. I doubt that the videocard drivers did this but i'm not 100% sure. Has anyone any ideas what the problem is?

OK, here are a few other suggestions:

1. Try opening the DirectX Control Panel applet, and moving the slider for the DirectSound debug level all the way to the left.

2. If you have a joystick, make sure it is plugged in and calibrated. If you don't have a joystick, turn off joystick support in OFP.

1. If I'm not mistaken you need to download the DirectX tweak applet to get to the debug level slider. If so, search The FAQ for "DirectX tweak".

2. Yep. Search The FAQ for "joystick" for more information.

Are you trying to install from a networked CD-ROM or virtual CD-ROM?

I put the CD-rom in, enter CD key and let it install, it gets about halfway then then stops gives an error message and says "v:/flashpoint\DTA\HWT\Data.pbo".

Please share the solution with the rest of the OFP community -- someone else may benefit from your discovery later on.
