Some thoughts: *WARNING: SPOILERS* -I don't think there will be a sequel: Manhattan was nuked and the fact the camera were rescued by a federal man lead me to suppose the creature fell dead in the blast. -The soldiers talked about "Tabula Rasa", and to me it appears like somoeone (the government) were already prepared for such an outbreak. -I wonder how an SD storage card could resist EMP effects.... -Why who had been eventually bited explodes? The same girl said she saw the big creature devouring humans, so why the small monsters would annihilate 'em instead? Because right as clover was bombed he was on top of the bridge they were under. So if it was a nuke the anything in its Centro would instantly be taken apart atom by atom. Not even clover would survive a nuke. All they did was clear out manhattan if they nuked new york would become another chernobyl and the government doesnt want that. Plus after the credits one of them says "Help us" which when reverse says "Its still alive" Clover was probably hit by 2 MOABs Crab Parasite part: The parasites' fluid was only meant for clover when they bit him his hide came apart so they could feast on his blood. But when they spotted much smaller prey (us) they went for it. The fluid to strong for human bodies made the marrow in our bones over produce wasteful blood. Causing the dizzyness(blood rushes to head) then later on starts to spill(bleeding out of eyes, nose, mouth) then the stomach tries to digest the blood that has fallen into it. Thus causing all blood to rush to the stomach and causing the stomach to explode. Clover: Clover didn't eat hud because it was probably full and that when it looked down at hud he examined hud and saw the camera. walker 0 Posted February 9, 2008 Hi all Warning Spoilers BEGIN I do not think the weapon used was a nuke. 1) No EMP that would have taken out the camera. 2) No britliant white flash; instead the flash(s) were yelllow. 3) I saw at least two explosions when they were under the bridge in Central Park. Why use two nukes? 4) The whump sound rather than crack makes me think Napolm or White phosphorus. 5) I think it was a pair of MOAB or Fuel Air Bombs, or perhaps Napolm, White Phosphourus, something like that. 6) With such a sophisticated arsenal as the US has the escaltion would be stepped rather than a sudden jump 7) After the explosions I clearly heard the cloverfield monster bellowing. 8) As the credits roll you can hear the cloverfield monster stomping around with that characteristic bass boom. Well I totally missed the credits part: they (the cinema crewmen) turned down the volume and turned on the lights few seconds after credits began to run on the screen. Fucking assholes! I've heard those words few minutes ago and yes, this destroy all my theories about Manhattan being nuked an so on. And about the arachnoids, yes, I was wrong considering 'em like emanations of clover, not as parasites. I'm very curious about an eventual sequel althought I fear it risks to be a piece of sh*t. Or another group of people (who survive) filming the attack. I also read (I think on wikipedia) that when they are on the bridge there is another guy with a camera and they look at each other. sim 0 Posted February 24, 2008 I saw it a few weeks ago and enjoyed it If you think about a lot of monsters you see in modern films they kinda suck when you see them up close, I thought they did a pretty good job with this one, I guess it helped because you didn't tend to see too much of it. My gf didn't like the ending, much like a lot of you she wanted to know more about it, I kinda figured it would end like that seeing as what was said at the beginning about the tape being found. Rhodite 3 Posted February 25, 2008 I like the idea of a camera on a soldiers helmet etc.. However I am quite unsure if a sequel will ever be as good, same old problem guess. I did actaully like the fact it left so many questions un answered. Very clever film making and certainly a great way to stir up discussion and interest. Rumors says this this the Cloverfield sequel. On youtube there are some videos but I doubt they're real. I also saw some images of destructions, but I think they're fake (and low-quality). The girl is a last-minute addiction, as yesterday she were'nt present. Moreover Aladygma is the anagram of the word amygdala, which is a specific part of the human brain.
