wipman 1 Posted January 28, 2008 Hi, i'll more than glad to make the DMR and maybe all the other weapons too, to use/display the x30 or x20 rounds magazines depending on what you're using in that moment; but i don't know how to do it. So someone should tell me how and if it's not too hard... then i could do it myself; and other feature that i should add to the weapons pack, is to make that when you drop a mag, you left a M16 mag in the ground instead that kind of small back pack that looks very bad. I don't know what you mean with that, but i only ceased and desisted into make the woodland, desert & darker but more wasted & scratched versions of this weapons pack because i don't know how to do the specular maps; but i've decided to make the M16A4-DMR with the x20 magazine if someday someone tells me how to make it display the mag that you're using then i'll add that to the DMR and maybe to the rest of the weapons, also i gonna add two empty magazines models to the .pbo for the day that "i discover" how to make 'em substitute those uggly small back packs that appear when you drop any mag instead that certain magazine. (and here comes the down side of my post) BUT... is it just me or is the aimpoint on the m16a4 misaligned? maybe its just me and i looked at it funny, but it seems like the dot is a few too many pixels to the left and doesn't line up with the front post. Maybe just something to take a peek at some time.... Edit: i just checked... the regular m16a4 aimpoint looks good to me... but the m203 version looks off Other than that... I love this mod! It's so nice having the M16A4 with the aimpoint (not to mention all the variants of the M4A1). But the main problem for this is the always problem, that i should ask for help again and i hate to take other peoples time; when they've much better things to do. wipman 1 Posted January 31, 2008 Hi, for what i've seen on photos... the ACOG sighted M249's use to be mounted on vehicles, mostly wheeled recon vehicles, like the very pimp seals FAV that BAS promised us long ago back in the OFP days and that they didn't released along with the very promising BAS Desert Pack; but that's history now... . Edit: i just checked... the regular m16a4 aimpoint looks good to me... but the m203 version looks off Technically it's not an issue as Aimpoint is actually designed to act as the front sight, with your eye acting as the rear one. So it should work on weapons without a front sight, and you adjust it to your eye. Although I just adjusted mine to align with the front sight while looking through it and shot beer cans from 25 meters away. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

wipman 1 Posted February 4, 2008 Hi, i've completed (i think) the work on the M16A4-DMR model, now i just need to know the zoom values for the config to try it out in game (if i don't screw up the config...) so i can move on to work on the M4A1 ACOG M203 model, that i don't know if will be better to add it's .p3d to the addon or recall it in the config using the BIS model so this will save space and will possibly reduce it's load time for servers, players and on missions. So... if someone can tell me the zoom values of the Leupold scope (the same than in the M4SPR) i'll test it in game and once checked that it works... i'll release the updated weapons pack ASAP. wipman 1 Posted February 4, 2008 Hi, not really Tomislav, at least not now; i've try to figure out what's causing the error message reading 4 times the config, but i haven't found anything yet, so im listening to the Dead Kennedys for take me out of this boreness; because if i still watching that config and don't spot what i've screwed... i could punch too much the keyboard, and already have a big smashed zone from the J to the Enter key and a bit on the left arrow, and i don't want to buy a new keyboard because of a config. goose36 0 Posted February 6, 2008 great work mate, really love the m4's. is there any chance of a SR25 in the future. would love one of those. optics on MG's like the m240b and 249 are very common these days and would be great to see. some para or pimped up 249s with forgrips and optics would also be great. keep up the good work mate. looking forward to seeing the DMR. wipman 1 Posted February 6, 2008 Hi, you gonna have to wait a bit more, i haven't found what i screwed up miserably in the config, so this gonna take some time... and im just a player, not a modeler or a texturer; so ther're alot of things that i can't do miself and i don't want to bore anyone else to get this done. So i've been improving (or trying it) the M4A1's models plus add the M4A1 ACOG/M203, deleting innecessary selections. So someday i hope that soon, we'll have this binarized, signed and ready for release to upgrade a bit our equipment selection with something as good as the game's weapons.
