right hi guys i have a very big annoying problem i have a dedicated server but i cant join it i get stuck on waiting for host other poeple can connect to it and i can play other servers i have bought a new copy of arma to see if that helps please help me before i smash my computer up

Fenix, does the server have a config file that selects a mission? If not, it will just sit there until someone logs in as admin and selects a mission.

if no admin is on Players vote its, doing my head cuz it cant be me because i got fresh install and it cant be server cuz other poeple can join and thats a fresh install

You can't join your own dedicated server.

If it is setup properly you can.

I use FireDaemon to run mine as a service on a different port.

Copy your ArmA folder to elsewhere, and use it as a dedi.

Still wondering about when the first one arrives who

understand what DarkFenix did post clearly imho.  

I will help you guys (sorry @DarkFenix - i can't help you

directly but maybe others can once they understand).

DarkFenix pays for a dedicated server (not at his home)

Other people can join and play on this 'external' dedicated

server but DarkFenix can't 'join' the server.

Now explaining him how to login as admin will not help that

much since he does not even get that far - he simply

cannot 'enter' / 'join' / 'access' this server.  

:edit - ah yeah i almost forgot;

DarkFenix can join other servers led by other ppl - just not

the one he rents and pays for.

-Did he try

ipconfig /flushdns

yet?

-Can he connect to the server in anything else then arma (RDP, VNC or the likes)

-Did he misconfigure his firewall somewhat?

-Is it a windows or a linux box.
