Deus,

If the problem persists and you are sure you did not add any mods, and when you run ArmA there is no added strings such as -lowplants or whatever mod it might be trying to run...

The only suggestion I have is to uninstall ArmA and install it again cleanly, and then do not add any mods. You should then be able to join.

If it works, then you should be able to use the two mods Jana mentioned as being allowed on the server, if you wish to use them.

Thank you for your response. I was able to fix the problem by taking out 19 .pbo folders that I added to play many other missions. The other problem I was experiencing in the kick was due to my face skin I added. The server was trying to tell me I was ugly.

I think all of you should stop with such massive edits who even needs further addons.

I also strongly disagree with the way the 5th guys "stolen" the map from Jana/TeRp.

Im not any official for editing nor do i made this mission.

I just support Issetea and Fewo, so if you have something which you think its important for this mission, contact them by you own.

By the way, the sounds which you sent me are not better than mines and to be honest the first two in this package, sounds very very simmilar to mines. Also Issetea already used my sounds and already built them in, but thank you anyway.

And: All Flag-textures are changed by my in 1.10, so you would then easy recognize certain points of interest.

I agree to suggetions like "the Day and night thing" as the changes happen much to quickly.

Good News:

Issetea said that there will be a Addon-Version probably towards next-year summer.

The currently Focus their work on anti-cheat protection and better and more reliable coded scripts, so I think that we will get new major changes(after the already confirmed and announced ones) in a version after 1.10

He also promised a version for Arma2 yay.gif and that the development on Sahrani Life will continue further - so we can expect a mission which is getting mature and mature by the time - great news, isn't it?

And while we on it, three further suggestions by me and Jana:

1. IF you build-in the "Votes for a mayor" (we really hope so), then please also either

a) Votes for a chief-cop or

b) the Mayor can elect the chief-cop.

Chief-cop because he should either be able to arrest a cop or able to "degrade" a cop into a civ for a certain time, if cops abuse their power or beeing corrupt/other kind of misbehavior.

2. Cops (or cops and mayor, or even only chief-cop and mayor) should be able to delete certain licenses from certain civs.

This is really needed and like in real-life.

Example: Civ doing to much speedings and overruns, so it could be possible to delete his driving-license and so he need to make(actually buy) a new one.

3. Holster of Rilfes is working on 1.10 (i know it as i tested it) but:

- Animation to put the Rifle on the shoulder (this animation already exists - why not use it, its pretty unrealistic to store such a big rifle in your sahrani t-shirt/shorts)

- Able to Holster both weapon types (pistols and rifles), i wonder why you didn't make it so?

So, I just say, that the Physik Engine is shit. I drive with a car against a street lamp and my car make a hola hop roll!

And when I bump with a BUS against a motorbike, my bus make a realy high bunny hop jump!!!

Well this map is basiclly stolen from the guy who invented it on ofp named crime city but just renamed Sahrani Life on arma.

its 100% same as crime city with all the key features like the way u play civ and the things you can do as civ. Its just like a ported version of crime city and i dout if the guy who invented crime city never made it at all then Sahrani Life wouldnt even be around on arma.

All i can say... is Jana/TeRp the real owners of map? If not then all they did is took the map and edited it like 5th did so why cant 5th fill free to edit the map wow they like to play on there server? icon_rolleyes.gif

As for these new versions with police siren's I just wanted to no why is it only being made with 16 slots and not 30 or more for those servers and people who like to playw ith more players. 16 players aint that much on this map as it covers quite alot of area.

And also i think the police cars are quite crap and not as fast as the pickups and they weaker to damage so not much good in police chases so is it possable to have other cars with the police siren on the car menu at the station?

i dont see a prob with editing someones else work as long as u leave the name credits to the poeple that have made the map and edited it smile_o.gif i for  one will be using the SL on my server  pistols.gif

One quick question can anybody make the convoy have more cars in it cuz i damn sure the goverment wouldnt send a ammo truck half way round the world with out an armed escort  xmas_o.gif oh and can u replace them flags with real poeple

I think problem is that AI escort wouldnt know who they should shoot/protect truck from. Anyway thats police's job to protect convoy imo.

yes but the police cant even protect the bank whistle.gif i just think its a lil to easy to take out the convoy 1 civ with an m9 could do it

This is a problem of Arma, not of this mission!

I doubt that issetea and fewo could solve this issue, nor will they ever spend time on such a lost point.

Please this topic is already pretty unclear and has over 400 replies, so lets be back to topic!

just a word on Jana edit : 15 mn for removing empty car is really too short. We need around 1 hour. Many cops are doing their jobs around masbete, watch drugs/terror camp, make some road controls, and when they come back to their cars...... disappeared. They are stuck in masbete or middle of nowhere. Same as civils when u are killed somewhere in ur new tuned car, while u respawn and came back, car has disappeared. When u buy a 100k chopper and stay it hiding somewhere, disappeared and the money with it.....

They need to stay forever if they are locked imo.  Is this reaslism or not?  If i lock my car i want it to be there when i come back.

It needs to dissapear if one; Theres no owner for it. Meaning there ISNT someone online with a key for it.  Two; It has been detroyed.

If you delete the key, its gone 15 mins later.

I don't get why you would want despawn on a car someone owns.  It removes ALOT of possibility's.  It removes the awesome open-endedness of this game.  Why would you want to do that??

There must be other work arounds if its map clutter that worries people?  Such as no driver in a car thats damaged more that 50% despawns, ect..

15 mins is retarted however you want to look at it.

Forever standing vehicles (Even when the owner is there) I do not like.

As I said, 15min for unlocked, 30 min for locked vehicles.

Or do you really thing that a guy after 30min move out to bring back his car.

Not good.

as omemanshow siad u cant buy a 100k chopper then it despawn 15 mins later i was thinking what about an inpound of vechiles when they are parked within the city or summat for more than an hour and the players whos car it is get a message sayin ur car has been inpounded would u like it destroyed or pay to have it removed whistle.gif

Right i absolute agree with your post.

As i said before, this happens when someone alters a already balanced value to something else.

By Default from Issetea and Fewo, cars disappear after 45 mins. - i know that this isnt perfect, but way more "optimal" than the missedit from TeRp/Jana.

And yes, cars should stay forever if they are locked.

By the way, in 1.10, cars get more "look on em", because they will be much more expensive and civs will earn less money, so hopefully they will look more after their cars and rather repair them, instead of abandoning their cars and buy new ones.

You know, so i think that locked cars should be stay forever in 1.10/versions after 1.10

u missed the point, they edited the edit - without saying or asking like we did on this forum. ofc they can use it, its the missing "server curtosy" thats being frowned on, so i gues we know what to expect from the owners of 5th from now on.

the only sirens is in our jt edit, and we left it at 16 players because thats what isseta and fewo built the game around.

I am not the one, but I was just playing on your server tonight, truly awesome! and I as both cop and civ frequently used the key, and had no problems what so ever....at least I did not have any probs, and many times problems only happens for a short amount of time (could be completely incidental), and will not be a long lasting problem...

btw: I had some sprinting problems though....sometimes I could sprint...sometimes not....sometimes I was even jogging very slow....just like if the animation bugged or such...

You have speeds dependant on your stance, IE. Armed - faster and more manuverable, Unarmed - Slower only forward sprint.

Is this what your talking about or was it some thing else?

@Map editors (whom ever you may be wink_o.gif ) :

1st: Air view distance needs to be beefed up a bit truely.

2nd: Equipment should be sold at terror camp.

3rd: When you join the terror's you should spawn there.

4th: Online banking at terror.

5th: Why markers apear when a cop is near is rather a big and bad give away and I recon should be removed.

6th: Shops interface need a face lift and maybe have a close button instead of just a buy button so you can actually buy more than once at a time.

7th: Once terror you should be hostile to all including civ's that arn't terror's.

8th: Some random stuff? like a SLA squad assaulting another squad or city.

9th: garage at hideout and maybe the option to spawn there?

Any way thats enouph thought for one night and if any of these things have been mentioned before sorry for asking again.

Just wondering if anyone knows if this is a cheat script or a script that is part of the mission.

Basiclly we had a good game going on xr with 30 players then everyone started to die at same time and server basiclly crashed and had error on server desktop saying out of memory blocks that was caused by the cheat so was scaning for the cheat that was used and could only find that.

I no its off topic but because server was runing that map at the time i just wanted to no if anyone could tell me is that a offical script from the map sence i know that map has some setdamage scripts like when cops can heal civs and my server logs that script alot being used but this script only showed once on my 1.8gb log from that game

No not really.

The thing was that I was completely unarmed, no rifles, MG's ,pistols or launchers etc. I was completely unarmed.

Still I could not run....I could only jog, and that was slow as well!

To make it conclusive: At random times, and especially at the start when I first logged in, it lasted for around 2 hours...I could only jog at a slow speed, and when tried to sprint...it didn't work at all.

(jog was around 7km/h - standard is around 14km/h)

(Sprint was N/A, it kinda disabled itself after one second of sprinting, you actually saw a bugged transition from sprint to jog)

Even more strange was that under the "one second sprinting", I actually moved much slower that in a jog!

Hope this helps...and it was maybe just one icidental bug which could happen to anyone, and is not lasting forever wink_o.gif

Maybe it was a "lag bug"? you newer know what can happen when your client lags behind the server... (But I have a solid internet connection: 12 Mbit with LAN.)
