mr.g-c 6 Posted December 10, 2007 Summarizing this 5 hour game i just had on janas server with the new changes from TeRp (Terpentin) I NEVER HAD SO MUCH FUN IN THIS MISSION, EVEN NOT AS I FIRST PLAYED IT!!!!! This is just awesome! It adds a bit of reality, immersion and fun into the game, i was missing and Me and Others already suggesting since our first suggestions here. The car-chases and pursuits were better than in any movie! Just amazing, for example because air-support (from a cop in chopper) is now really needed because civs have now a VERY GOOD CHANCE to flee. TeRp (Terpentin) already confirmed he will put in the following changes/aditions on the "Jana-Server version" (please Issetea and Fewo - work with him together! He does all those small changes which we find so important): - Cops can manage "wanted" and "bounty" from any copcar - Copcars get red and blue flashing lights - New Siren 2.0 with two different tones - Civs who are in jail will stay there even if they try to respawn, we hope so that they are then more frightened about jail before they do (big) crimes, and they do a bit more teamwork/fun by asking teammates to free them from jail(chopper?) or even outbreak from it. Yes, if you can do better one than the ones i posted.... but both that different tones/hauls. They must sound good without brakes when playing endless after each other... Also gun shop is way to close to bank. Ive seen games start with the bank being held up within 40 seconds. What good is that on your server when u start to kick everyone who runs away from the police when you say stop! but some players who up to no good dont wanna stop for police and run. ModaFlanker 0 Posted December 11, 2007 BUG REPORT in 1.02-- Checking if this is fixed in 1.10 yet? The weapons crates in the Cop Base apparently have a limit to how much they can hold. What happens is that when the ammo truck keeps coming, ammo is dropped all around the cop base when it overflows those crates. An Admin thought that a cheater was messing with the Cop base, but I've seen this happen on many different servers, which is why I figure its the ammo truck overflowing the crates. As it happened, some of the guards turned EXTREMELY sadistic. Sahrani life appears to be repeating the results of that experiment... I've seen some people turn into absolute tyrants... sparks50 0 Posted December 11, 2007 More bugreporting: You can easely glitch out of the prison by running towards the corners, this should be a easy fix. "finding the barrel" mission seems almost impossible, i have searched every centimeter of the workerforrest, but didnt find anything. Finding wounded worker/blackhawk is easy but this seems alot harder. The cops should have more things to do, how about driving around a VIP ai(sahrani king?) to different locations around the map, for every location the VIP is droven to, all cops each gets 1k reward. If a civ manages to kill the VIP the civ is given 100k and becomes wanted. In that case all cops will each loose 10k. the cops must escort the king with maybe several police cars for increased safety. This way cops would have something to do when things are more calm. This does not in any way affect the mayor election etc. If the cops are too busy with criminal civs, they can just leave the king in the cop base. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

There's a message for it and there would have been no need for it if that hole-running-jumping method would be exploiting. But ok, sb. might use a mh6 and get the prisoner out of there... I don't usually 'BAWWW' about server admins, but Jana and 5th's are some of the worst I've ever had to deal with. A shame, because both are some of the best SahraniLife servers. Not 100% positive, but since I always see this as a cop on all servers I assume that must be the reason. I'll play cop soon and watch the ammo ring around the cop base when the truck comes in... if it grows each time the truck arrives, then that should indicate that my presumption is right. Striyzh 0 Posted December 11, 2007 I understand completely that it's entirely up to the server owner to decide who gets to play on his/her server (After all, they are footing the bill). If I felt compelled to do so, there are programs which would allow someone to circumvent a ban, however although I disagree with Jana's choice to ban me, she pays the bills, and I won't join her server if she doesn't want me to (Although I am quite disappointed that I will no longer be able to play the JT updates). With that said, I don't think criticism of what could be perceived as abusive admin behavior is out of bounds at all. The intended purpose is not to whine to the admin, rather to warn other players of abnormal behavior, and possibly convince them to avoid certain servers, thus avoiding a bad experience. This is especially important considering there are so few active SahraniLife servers. I was banned from Jana's for inquiring as to why a mission was restarted (Causing me to lose about 2 hours worth of work). Upon asking whether to join the cop or civ team I was told by Jana "Here, I'll make the decision easy for you", and promptly banned without explanation. On topic: I'm delighted to hear that civmarkers will be removed outside of towns. However, I'm not too enthusiastic about the "Civmarkers within 50m of cop". I think the game would be well balanced without this feature, while still allowing civs to feasibly escape and become fugitives. Also, forgive me is this has been mentioned already, but is it possible to make spy cameras static (As in a security camera) rather than following players?
