Racing Missions

I mean ArmA is a great game. Very flexible. Why are there no racing missions? With triggers and all it would be very easy to make checkpoints. Add turbo to some cars etc.

Guerilla Combat

Those mountains are there for a reason. They are ideal for guerilla combat. So my suggestion is that you have a mission like a mix of evolution and serialkiller.

The revolutionary guerilla SLA starts at some camp (movable tents in woods for example), random loc, in the mountains. Some cheap vehs and guns. They then got to get a revolution running, like that in Cuba, on the island.

The people, civilians in towns will likely join the guerilla (or slim chance to report to the army). If there is no army military present. So the RACs would need a central commander/the dictator that gives suggestions to other RACS commanders (Ai and player) from a city with a working radio tower (otherwise he wnt be able to control AI squads). This to counter the guerilla advance.

Winning conditions:

SLA win:

-Dictator shot OR bagango, corazol and paraiso taken by SLA.

SLA loss:

-SLA base found and taken by the RACS. (Stops Respawn) AND All commandantes dead.

I would expect this game to last shorter than an evolution map but longer than the serial killer.

Two-Team Island-Wide Combat

Two teams start somewhere on the map. SLA north. RACS/US south. Island populated with civs. The teams are then supposed to find and eliminate each other. (Gives a dynamic combat setting and surprise factor). Ambushes can be set up. Scouts can be positioned etc. Civilians have memories too. So they might be questioned about other military presence.

Sounds good, would be interesting to play a pvp game with some original concept like this. Berserk is great and I enjoy it myself

but its really just C&H again altho a very refined version.

Have you taken a look at the CTI's comeing out, they are basicly what you mean except for the civilians haveing memories as far as i know atleast.

And about your guerilla idea I myself was tinking of makeing some but i canceld the project cause of the lagg you get from those forrests its just to much.

For ages ive wanted a PVP map thats a regular army against an insurgent force and each side has to win over the civilians - hearts and minds and all that. And yet there has not really been any - there was G.d.c.e for ofp but it was never multiplayer.

Kinda like saranville is at the mo but army instead of police and with penalties for killing civs ie- army side kills civ opfor get more respawns army side kills civs they lose ground etc

I have tried to make one like this but my scripting skills are not good enough.

theyre not wonderfull, but I like em, and a couple of people i used to play em with did.

US needs to enter the town and rescue a POW(dowened pilot), while the insurgents occupy the town.

RACING MISSIONS:

I have 2 almost finished.

1st one is Pylon Racing in camels around a Oval Track.

2nd one is team biathlon, Marksman shoots 5 targets at range with a m21, Each section is has 5 targets but they are further away.

The pilot takes the marksman to each range but has to do a couple of tests in between ranges.

Yea, I know CTI. In OFP it was great, but lags out and is very sensitive to cheats.

The island-wide team combat concept would be based on much simpler principles. You just start with guns and some vehicles, with the only task of eliminating the contras/guerillas. The scene is the whole island. So there's need for gathering some information from civs and plan combat from it. I guess the concept illustrates a common & realistic situation in guerilla warfare.

It would be like a two team coop. There's no room for greater individual action here either.

Yea, I guess those woods are bad to many users and to the whole idea. But people should be able to lower the graphics settings. Or why can't Bis just implement some variable settings, that prioritize static FPS. Now you got to adjust your settings manually. The game could do that auto while playing.

Camel racing seems like a good idea too, but road racing is much more fun imo wink_o.gif Dogfighting wouldn't be bad though.

Hide & Seek

Seeker team has guns, Hiding team has nothing. You put them in a town, hiders get something like 1 minute headstart until the seekers are let loose.

Hiders are ranked based on how soon they are shot, seekers are ranked by kills. There can also be a time limit.

im making a sp gurilla mission:

US is preparing to ca (the South has been taken). 2 blackhawks were sent in during the night to aid the resistance forces and gather intel. They both were shot down. One landed in Cayo, with the survivors killed or captured. The second landed in the desert. You must check for survivors and destroy the shilkas. Then an MH6 with a shipment of spec ops and m136s will arrive in your mtn base. Destroy atleast 6 T72s and the US will land in the desert. I will need help but not yet.

There was a release of Oil Rig addon. It have some bugs, it sonly a alpha version but when the final version come it will a great missions to fight on that oil rig. What do you thnik? This is good idea? CTF, DM, TDM, coop... almost every type of game can be placed on this oil rig... biggrin_o.gif
