I still have all the normal NVG's, sky, ect.

Should I install the older v3 extra pack?

Sure, feel free to install any sky pack you want, or just make your own selection as long as you install everything properly. :]

Truthfully how would you react after having spotted an 'enemy' hiding behind an obstacle if you were one of these soldiers in real life?

Militaries are trained to get the ability of fast reaction to enemy action.

You're right, of course. But, if I remember my military service correctly, we were taught not to empty all [!] our magazines on one target, which we couldn't even consider to be still at it's position.

I cannot remember anyone who ever fired a whole MG-belt at a hidden or disappeared target. At least, and this is what I meant, one should consider to stop firing at a remote position if the assumed target appears right beside him. wink_o.gif

And, as far as tank combat is concerned, I was taugth to aim, fire, control. Everything else would be senseless, as it would reveal one's position or cover, which is quite self-destructive.

Well it's always possible to not install the Resistance vegetation and buildings, and put in FFUR 2006 islands still availibale at filefront.

TB you wrote further tweaks would come. If you can please fix the grass issue first of all. The resistance foliage is better for low-spec computers, then Berghoffs nature packs.

hi, TB. no problem, it was a pleasure to be your betatester! I have a question. Did you changed anything on the config since the beta, Or can I use the old Beta-Config (which I sended to you)? If there are some changes, can you pls say, which one? So I can copy passe some of my changes. (gonna test it, when I am back from Spain) [i´m in a internetcafé right now smile_o.gif ]

For those who still have the "colorful squares" problem, I suggest updating your video card drivers, as Thunderbird said. It helped me, everything works fine now.

As someone else mentioned, all faces on US units are REALLY bad quality. Something to do with when you converted HYK facestex heads into BIS heads?

Custom head textures come out perfect quality.

Oh, PS. The US weapon with M203 is still an M16, where as you wished to replace it with an M4.

And PPS. Can you texture on the straps for the knee pads (You took the 3D straps off and it looks kind of odd without even a strap texture)

Heh, I second that, that's what all militaries learn during classes, but I'm afraid in real situations, things tend to be slightly different.

There have been some slight modifications from the last Beta kali.

With sanctuary's support, we try to figure out this issue, it isn't that easy since the bug's source is unknown.

I have no idea how the straps disappeared but this would be fixed as well, thanks for reporting it.

Even after uping my video drivers, I still have white, and square vegetation.

Oh well...I will just wait for the patch TB is working on.

No worries, the white vegetation issue isn't due to the graphic card but to an issue with 'SLX newdta files' intended to replace BIS vegetation.

The update of graphic cards's drivers are aimed to fix 'Colourful squares', though.

Great work tb, absolutely loving this latest FFUR version.

Though like a few others have mentioned it would be nice if the SF units were a bit more "unique" looking, perhaps by giving them a drop-leg Tactical Thigh Holster for example and/or using a SF model with Boonie hat/Patrol cap (if Hyk had any that is.)

Otherwise excellent work, and easy 9.5 out of 10 biggrin_o.gif.

Firstly, thanks for putting in the effort to make this pack.

I'm pretty much sick of Arma until some better mods/missions are released, so I went and bought OFP for the very first time after seeing your pack. inlove.gif

BUT, I have a couple of noob questions (seeing as I started on Arma) sad_o.gif

1. Is JAM required/recommended/not compatible with this?

2. I have Kegety's DXDLL, are there any other "visual upgrade" addons I should get? (AMD 4600, 2gb, 8800GTS etc, so no issue with performance)

3. Any other recommended addons? I plan to play through all 3 original campaigns at least.

4. For user created missions, will I need missions created specifically for FFUR/SLX?

Sorry for the (probably) silly questions, I'm just getting awfully confused with the plethora of addons available biggrin_o.gif

There would be some changes in this way since a lot of people ask about it.

Please check out the system requirements for the new pack.

It requests more than the previous packs because this time it uses all of SLX scripts.

A light config disabling several features would be included with the incoming patch, though.

1. Negative, Jam is not required and it isn't needed since the MOD uses its own ballistics based on WGL realistic values, it is compatible, though.

2. Get a look here :]

3. You don't need 'extra' addons to play through campaigns and missions, the MOD already features a huge selection of community made addons intended to replace BIS Old models, with realism as a goal.

4. Negative.

Btw, for people that is having trouble with 'white vegetation':

- Install the following 'Islands pack', I did the same and haven't experienced any issue so far.

Just spotted some minor bugs, nothing important though

1) Russian Makarov pistol still hasnt got sound

2) Binoculars sometimes appear as knife or shovel

P.S. Thunderbird where did you get the russian radio chatter sounds (those in helicopters)?

spotted following:

- in action menu on the right mount/dismount double

- mount aimpoint appears too when i have secondary weapons in hand

- firing from Strela, Stinger, M136AT4 go too much to right side (AA fly like dumb missiles)

- at re-start of mission you can often hear grenade exploding

- missing 40mm grenades (AK74m-GP25) on russian ammoboxes, trucks....

- 2 DSHK in editor

- captive are breakin some official missions in campaign (eg. Occupation in RH) or maybe i should rapid pistols.gif and don't use tactics?

Thanks for the report of bugs.

As far as I remember I have used ECP's DSAI and Retaliation voices as audio sources for the radio chatter feature.

The wind is an important factor to take into consideration when using Rocket/missle launchers, that's why getting close to your objective does increase your chance to hit it.
