Recommended Posts

Microsoft have released a Vista Perfromance fix pack.

see: http://www.extremetech.com/article....0000532

Fixes include some Vista Memory Management tweaks and a fix for 8800 users.

I'm at work, but wondering if any of you guys have tried these yet and if they make Arma run any better on Vista?

Same here.. Did butkus on performance for me.. Then again I now can install my printer that apparently me disabeling UAC bugged Vista so it was unable to map a network printer..

It fixes some real nasty things to though..

• When you synchronize an offline file to a server, the offline file is corrupted.

• Poor memory management performance occurs.

Ah well.. back to XPsp2

I've read reports from beta testers on the upcoming Vista SP1 that it makes Vista "less likely to chrash in games" (roughly translated from norwegian web-page). Anyone got any more info on the promises of this highly anticipated Service Pack?

Do i have to sign-up to vote? Also does this fix that memory problem, like no longer needing the maxmem=512 and stuff?
