sailindawg 0 Posted August 4, 2007 Can the AI squad be given a waypoint on the fly, as one works their way through a single player mission? I can give a "go to" command, but can I look at a map, put in multiple waypints and send the AI squad to those points? If one can, please explain how to. I have tried and I'm not getting done right. Thanks.
walker 0 Posted August 4, 2007 Hi Sailindawg Needs scripting. Spinor at the Chain of Command (CoC) created such a system for OFP called the Command Engine. Now CoC are doing one for ArmA to be called CEX. It will be both SP and MP. We were planning to release the public beta last month but Spinor is at a physics conference and we need to do some work on the beta test online registration software and liceneses so we are holding it back few weeks. You can see an early private bata video here. it more advanced with many extra features now. Â Kind Regards walker
iconoclastdx 5 Posted August 4, 2007 That sound cool. Keep up the good work. Now if we can only get that makes the AI actually find cover.
sailindawg 0 Posted August 5, 2007 @ Walker I have seen this CEX mod that you mention before. I originally thought it was only for multiplayer. I think it will be an incredible addition to the single player mode. This really widens the possibilities for single player / AI squad tactics. This brings the ability for AI squad command, that the original Ghost Recon single player introduced, to ARMA. I initially thought that this mod was a great idea for multiplayer, but for SP, it will be incredible. Looking very forward to this mod now that I understand it better.
