CheatIdiots.. and BIS... Question about cheaters..

Been thinking a lot of differnt things. The topic is Cheats..

What would we be doing now without cheats? Would people have the scripting knoloedge that they have now? Proberly not? Im not saying you have to cheat quite the oposite but you can learn from how they cheat and its that what pins the tail on the donkey becuase without cheats there would be no anti-cheats which therefore would be no knologde of how to code a game, edit a game, mods so on so forth.

Its like the sun and rain the planet is both dependet on both but there both differnt in all ways possible. They both ( the rain and sun) complement the masterpiece we call arable soil. Cheats to ArmA is like rain to earth. and Cheats increase game-dynamics in a natural way. If used in the right manour.

Although there is some extream cheats which shouldnt be allowed and no one should ever cheat just think what can learn from these?

anyways   30% of my scripting knolodge unwittinly came from a pack back in the days of 2004/5 and the rest from trial and error and of course sickboy and other mission makers is how i become a good mission maker/scripter

Perhaps if BIS had not marketed the game to 15 year old military fanatics who think the military is the greatest thing ever and wank over pictures of M4s while dressed up in their airsoft uniforms ... then maybe the general maturity level on the servers would increase.

Maybe also if the missions were more inducive to working together and encouraging leadership, people would be less inclined to cheat and spoil it for others.

Essentially, kids will be kids. Just make the game boring for them so they don't bother with it. This sort of discussion should occur on a BF2 forum. Not ArmA.

Why do you think they've got cheats ?

My guess is that original game is boring for them.

I've played ArmA on public server only once.

I don't remember what mission it was, but there was a Little Bird waiting at the spawn, so I headed its dirrection, but before "Get In" button appeard some idiot teamkilled me (accident ? No way ! ).

I ALT+F4'd 10 seconds later.

thanks for the heads up guys im from kellys heroes clan and we have had an increse in retarted tk'ers and just your basic idoits, over the last few weeks, but we have been keeping an eye on for these scum sucking cheating groups wankers for some time now, we have had a few hardcore hackers but it dosnt take to 2 secs to write #exec ban *****

we have an admin on our server 24/7 so any kind of hackers or those who are bored of the game and just play to tk or cheat they are quickly disposed of just as quickly has they joined,

I sorta figured that since OFP was flooded with them in its prime years, BI might had made some protection.

Its times like these i look at punkbuster

I know its crazy but it does stop a shit load.

RN's Methods in the past helped with there Anti-Cheat, which did help and got us a few fun games before it was beaten by a new pack.

So far the only 100% proof way of playing online with no cheats ( not worthy of being called hackers ) is to organize with friends and other players and get together on a locked server.

Well.. Crysis IS in the final stages of finishing BETA. Not to mention: It's coming out November 19th + there WILL be a demo before launch... so hopefully looking at September... mark your calenders. Our day of non-cheaters is coming!

Not to mention, with only about 800 players now playin arma... the cheaters will soon lose interest. And we'll have 4-600 loyal ArmA fans.

Oh no client side that will add 256kb to the server uplaod who cares last time i checked on the server thare wher 53 people on it and it was uploading at 512KB a sec not evan one megabit wow thats nice but kb dont matter Thowput does anywys point is bis went with a old clinet side game.

Swat 4 had this problum people would modifi thare wepons ini file when the patch came out all files wher crc Locked. if thare is a will thare is a way! and il throw 2mil down for the engine fix

BIS just does not care. Companies only care about profit and money. The only way to encourage them to implement a key server and PB/VAC support is to hit them where it hurts.... , in their profit...

MAC address banning is not useless as I guarantee that at least half of the people using cheats/scripts/malicious software have no idea what it is. If they do they probably fear changing it.

Also for those of you who think that BIS, a software development company that has made their games so readily modifiable and accessible to their customers, does not care about this blatant issue - you are wrong. All game companies (and really any business entity in general) cares about the satisfaction of their customers. This is very simply because without you - they would be nothing!

Oh wait, they have government contracts from all over the world which probably amounts to more than triple the total revenue of their civilian consumer base. Yeah, we're pretty much f**ked.

We need to stop asking obvious questions and get to work on a server-side plugin that would make life much easier when dealing with morons. and from these games it's known that MAC banning is useless waste of time ...

each major cheat site and forum got FAQ with 'How change Your MAC'

you can lock your server

you can try and create an "allow list" (why? i have no idea. it's the same damn thing as locking your server)

you can ID ban (thats what we use)

and you can just kick and kick and kick till you get so tired of it you just quit.

cheaters were around sense the begining of OFP and they are still around in OFP even now!

keep on range banning people then eventually nobody will get on your server though... lol

hmm well for us here in Oz, we block whole ranges ie North America and Eurpoe and since that has come into effect we haven't had one incident and that was over 2 months ago and we still have 15 -20 players on both Vs and Coop each night with pings under 100 so it has worked really well for us... too bad for all the US servers I guess...

Also Rambo for most of the nOObs that use hacks, they just dl them from scum sucking cheating groups and the like, they have no idea except how to click a button on their gay little nOOb9000 multihack and for them changing their IP IS a hassle...

The worst way to hurt those idiots is not to talk about them in open forums. They crave the atention posts like this generate and they wear any public accusations like a badge on honour.

If you must complain to BIS about idiots like this, do it via PM, that way they dont get the satisfaction from the additional publicity.

Hi, i was playing a damn Evolution 3.0 in the Def-Con spanish server

and a hacker entered, began to team kill in the base and in some

objectives, plus create AI's and more things in the base that lagged

the game. I called him (the hacker) homosexual... and suddenly...

What that means?, that now i wont be able of enter and play in

What is needed is an elite group of anti-hackers. TKers against the scum sucking cheating groups'ers guys with the same or higher ability to ruin these children everytime they try to ruin a server
