awotter 0 Posted July 20, 2007 Please keep in mind when you read the following I am brand new to ArmA and scripting in general... however, I have been reading as many of the posts regarding "suppressive fire" as I can and as much of the Wiki as I can digest to get up to speed and I think there is a way to script a player controlled AI in such a way as to get the native FSM to approximate an AI 'base fire" maneuver that would complement Second's script in which the enemy AI respond to suppressive fire. I was checking out Kronsky's target range mission and I found that when I placed an AI alongside me that when I fired on the range targets the AI also opened fire and continued to fire until out of ammo because the targets keep regenerating. It should be possible then to make a mission trigger, that when you execute a radio command (i.e. Juliet) causes non-visible target(s) to spawn and re-spawn in relation to an AI (say one ordered to 'engage/direction/North' and then the AI will fire as if suppressing that general area until ordered to cease fire or ammo gets to a certain point.
