Retexture of BIS vehicle

Hey

I have created a nice new texture for the car_sedan, and I want to be able to use it without overwriting the original car_sedans texture.

I have made the texture inside Photoshop, saved it as a 32bit TGA and converted it to paa using texview.

I have set up the config.cpp and copied over the p3d of the original. To get the texture onto the model, I have tried:

Hex editing the p3d to replace the old file name/path with my new one

Using a utility called p3dutil that is supposed to replace the texture inside the P3d.

Both of these methods get me an out of memory error, with stupid amounts of memory requested.

Is there any way to do this without having to remap the texture inside O2 or something? sad_o.gif
