ArMoGaDoN 0 Posted June 15, 2007 Seems that no matter how diligent you are, the creeps, TKer, and nOObs always seem to get back on as soon as you ban them. Admin-ing the servers can get to be a full time job, and a REAL pain in the arse at times, spoiling the enjoyment for many, admins, TKers, brapers and normal players alike. Instead of this ban.txt file that seems to be almost useless in the face of the hackers out there, and a pain to administer to boot, is there - or COULD there be - an 'allow.txt' file instead? You could then set-up an invitation/by-application only server that needs a password, but also enforces, by player-ID, an allow list too? That way the password would not need to be changed every time somebody is proved an idiot, and we can all FINALLY get a decent game that isn't eventually scrapped in a fit of blue-words and bitterness almost every night. 2Lt High-16AAB- 0 Posted June 17, 2007 That is not a bad idea Wolf!!! Sometimes it may be easier to admin the guys as a Go insted of a NOT GO!!!! However, you would need to open servers to allow ppl in!! e.g. Mo - Thu from 1900 -2300 Hrs Then from Thurs 2301 - Mon 1859 Hrs have your server passworded etc etc...... This is only an example!!
