ade_mcc 0 Posted July 18, 2006 Used to use Mr_Chance occationally named after the Ken Stott character in the film Plunkett and Maclean. Got a bit bored with it after a while though. Maybe it just needs a makeover or springclean. Duke Chance perhaps... Used to use Princess Breasts occationally for much hillarity in games that would ask you for the name at the start then constantly refer to you throughout. Excellent plan, Princess Breasts, you lead the way! Im much more mature now though, snigger, fnar, fnar. Nowadays, I use Ade_McC for most things, based upon my real name, Richie Cunningham. M9ACE 0 Posted July 18, 2006 I am a tread-head, so I choose the name “M9ACE†because it is a military vehicle.  I wanted to pick something that is not well known and I like the “ACE†part of the name.  Also, a friend of mine had trained on the M9ACE, but ended up becoming a MP instead. An M9ACE is basically an armored bulldozer with pan-scraper abilities.  The ACE part of the name stands for Armored Combat Earthmover. Here is a M9ACE:
igor drukov 0 Posted July 18, 2006 I wanted a real sounding name for more immersion when playing. But the cheap uncritical bias (just like all cheap uncritical biases ! ), IRL and in OFP, in favour of the Americans, as well as the not less uncommon confusion between Soviets and Russians, bore me to death. Moreover, I spent my childhood and most of my teenage years reading Russian novels, and I am convinced that Dostoevski and Tolstoi are two of the greatest minds ever given birth to, so I sort of came up with this nick as a twisted tribute to genius and days gone by. So here I am, a Frenchie with a fake Russian name, playing a Czech game in English with mates from all over the world. Willkommen zum OFP !

Sophion-Black 0 Posted July 18, 2006 If you all must really know the true meaning of "sophion" sit back and enjoy this great story: It first started off when I met this one girl (no we didn't date or anything... At least at the time afterwards. oh, getting too far). We first met while playing capture the flag (Airsoft style) she was part of another team. It was a three way game and all three teams was against each other. I walked up on her while she was uh... "resting", so i just waited behind cover. next thing in noticed she disappeared. Turns out, she hid just 20 feet from where I was, we both blasted anyone who came in our field of fire without noticing the others presence. after most of the teams were "killed" I walked back to the base to checked on the flag ( i was there for at least 45 min). I was blindsided by fire when I got up! I was considered "killed" and walked to the dead box. Everyone else was there waiting (obviously it had been me and her that was left alive, and we blasted mostly everyone else too). so we decided to blow the air horn to end the game. We formally met when she came out, and team red and part of her team (team green) noted that we were a real duo to be reckoned with. The next match we decided we would take on the other teams as a bet, it was just me and her. Man did we blast the @#$% out of those guys LOL! Ever since then we were on the same team until he moved after 3 years of playing with us. We kept touching bases until we got our licenses (and then started touch... oh I'll stop there for censorship reasons) Oh, her name is Sophia. just as a gig to make the duo more intimidating I was nicknamed Sophion, the "masculine form of Sophia" as we were learning Spanish at the time (you all should know by now its pronounced So-Fi-On). The name stuck ever since and so did the girl To get the "Black" part: She made me pick a color (her brother felt like he should be called that, I think he just likes the name). To be mean I chose a "value" (for you art geeks out there). Her brother choose "Blue," his favorite color. I introduced him to OPFlash some time ago so you might have seen him around from time to time. Well that's my story to the name. If i get bonus points can i turn it in for candy, I love Reese Cups

da12thMonkey 1943 Posted July 19, 2006 Mine comes from a movie. Originally it was just 12thMonkey, the 'da' bit was added by a 1337Sp34king troll who used to come on the IRC channel of a Max Payne community site I used to help run, and berate me for being British (at least I think that was the reason, as he always told me he was going to 'nuke my British ass' before we kicked-banned him). mIRC never used to let you have usernames that started with numbers so I decided to add the 'da' to avoid people not knowing who I was on the channel (before I just used my real-life surname on the channel as it's how my friends have always refered to me), and as a tribute to our troll and the countless times his abuse made me chuckle.
