Not true, go check the 'Whinners' thread; about/after page 3 not a single 'whining' post was without at least one respond from a fanboy. Not a practice on the oposite thread. 1st: Yeah, its weird, although i have some troubles keeping my own mouth shut when looking in there, especially when it comes to the AI.

I dont agree with you on the modthing though: Take a look at second's suppression script for example, instead of whining about how BI didnt add suppression he started up notepad and did it himself.

Oh well, if BI keeps patching in this rate we will have the most perfect game ever at the end of the year.

The good thing about Crybois in other gaming forums is they tend to bitch, call the game garbage then leave. I've done it numerous times, never to play the game again.

No, "fanboys" or "fellow posters" as I like to call them MAKE DO with what they have, knowing they have no control over the issue other than to enjoy the game, complain to BIS directly or get their money back. And "fanboys" tend not to flood the forums with utter shite that no-one wants to read.  

On topic: Can't wait till everyone's back to the same level version wise. Would be nice to see the setpos bug fixed though.

Hmm just to be objective, for you it may be the most perfect game maybe not others, not going to tell you my position as you may tell me you hope i die , but seriously the AI is a bit silly, was sitting outside Masbete in a Abrams with lots of infantry in the town, as soon as i fired my MG once they preceded to run one after the other down the main street towards me, even without AT weapons and the funniest was a sniper who ran to within about 10 metres in front of the tank and then lay down, couldn't stop laughing and didn't want to shoot him as i thought he may be surrendering, but thats a small example of the things i've seen them do so far, stand up lie down, stand up lie down, elevate rifle 70 degrees upwards at nothing, ignore me when i fire etc etc.

I'm sure this can get fixed but how i do not know, i also think the vanilla game has to be made as special as possible, without the MODS to make it better as some people are not going to have time to look at every script and MOD, learn how to implement it, have time to create there own missions etc etc.

We'll get there i'm sure, with a bit of faith and patience, but at the moment it dosen't quite for me do what it says on the tin

Maybe English isn't your primary language but when you   capitilize "EVERYTHING" -that generally means all  encompassing.

Now if your exaggerating to prove a point, thats just poor arguing skills.

The point being, as had been stated ad infinitum, we all have issues with the game on one level or another. It's how we deal with these issues that count. I know for a fact, many big modders are working hard to improve gameplay and some performance for all. You wanna help- sign up to Beta test.

Looks like there are enough of us that realize the scale of making this game work like it's intended. Would it still sell as well just being branded Alpha or beta right on the box? I would buy it branded that way but that's just me. I do know thats the approach to Live For Speed which is by far one of the best race sims ever made.

Why are there so many people crying about the money factor...it's only like 40 to 60 dollars invested in your entertainment. I paid for it for entertainment and it just keeps getting better and I only have a amd sempron 64 at 1.61 Mhz and a 6800gt and 1.5 gig of ram.

I just run everything on normal turn off AA and AF and lowest post effects and run it at 800 x 600 and it still looks and plays well. BIS is not just after your little 40-60 dollars they want to see their project the way they envisioned and let us start playing as early as was doable and still be able to pay the bills...whats wrong with making some money anyway?

Smaller studios like this make better games and put in the extra work to make it turn out right. I think there is a certain latest other game...the sequel to "let down" that suddenly lost its server support a few months after it came out...hmm was it just a crappy console port after all? Now my tactical shooter friends have a server up they hardly use. Bought him a copy of the US Combat Operations to get them hooked on what is going to be a great ever evolving game.

1.08 should be some more great improvements probably not perfect but going the right direction. The people that cry over the little money thing make me laugh like they invested their last dollars allowance from their parents. Every game I buy is a chance to be entertained...just like movies and music thats all it is. For what its worth with ArmA I have been entertained.

I've complained from day 1 about the aimbots, the Ai's inabilty to cross bridges and mountains as well as LOD with current patch.- No Fanboy attacks

Because i did it once and also balanced my complaints with things i sincerely like about the game. Crybois eyes start welling up  before a patch is even released- thats the difference.

So grab a tissue and open up your curtains, all is not lost

It's a pity that this thread's going to get locked now because of a few whiners who saw the perfect chance to take a dig at BIS.

According to you lot, if someone disagrees with you - whether they have a productive point or not - or in fact in any way defends BIS against your mostly unfounded views, they are a fanboy. If that makes me a "fanboy", so be it. (Apparently enjoying a game and accepting the way BIS do things is a crime, punishable with the oh-so overused label of fanboy..)

One question I'm sure all us "fanboys" would love to know is:

If you do hate the game so much, and have such great issues as to continue posting about them ad infinitum - why the hell are you still here!?

Problem here is that people are looking at it as if there are only two types here, fanboys and whiners, where in truth there are-

Whiners

Fanboys are pretty much the people that think its perfect, whiners as we all know...are what has turned us average's sour and made us seem like fanboys. Can you honestly blame us? 100's of topics, "I don't like this", "this needs fixing" "game seems unresponsive", "frame rates are bad", "this game is crap", when there are already topics if not several for these already.

Now I don't see the game as the perfect light, it has its flaws for certain but these whiners overdo these things, they make it seems as if their opinion is the light of all, and will not rest until it happens, doesn't matter if we hear it, they won't be satisfied till its done.

More "Average" posters are seeming like fanboys because we are defending the game, when in truth its because we are tired of hearing the same thing over and over and over and over, you get the idea I'm sure.

First off, I don't see myself as a 'whiner' (but yes I'm dissapointed with a (current) state of ArmA) and I don't whine all over the forum, mostly (and rarely) I've (tried to) share my point of view on some theme or issue. And I knew it right away that my first post here will receive such a threatment/respond and such a feedback as it has, and in my eyes my first post was not a 'whining' (in yours eyes of course it was, but the posts like a few above are not a 'fanboy's bullying', right?), but as I also said so many times already, all not positive here is imediately ocaracterised as a whining. In my eyes this is just primitive, and of course the lack of arguments; as xnodunitx is saying there were many criticising topics (wonder why? ), but not so many praising ones. Again why? Because the 'fanboys' are more cultural? Give me a break!

There's a difference between applauding BIS's continued patch support and proclaiming that this patch will solve everything no need for further attention almighty BIS

It is counter-productive to shout out "Well all of this should have already been included- new patch Big Whoop"

I'm sorry to say this is obviously what people now expect when a new game is released.  What a sad state of affairs for the gaming community.  You can now pay 40 quid TO BE A BETA tester for buggy software!

Cmon guys, if you bought a car as buggy as ArmA you be at the show room 7 days a week demanding a fix or your money back, and you certainly wouldnt buy another car of the same make in the future.

We need to get back to the cause and the remedy.  Software that is as buggy as ArmA, is nothing more than BETA, it is BIS' fault for releasing it too soon and the testing department for letting so many huge faults go un-noticed.

FACT: It wasn't. How will whining about it help it? Just be thankful you have the option of patches.

We all know that's how stuff goes with OFP/ ArmA- it's been like this since OFP first came out. If you don't like BIS' way of doing things, you know what you can do I'm afraid.. As I said, just be thankful it's possible for it to be fixed!

I'm really looking forward to this new patch. I mean at least i'll be able to play ArmA for 15 minutes before it gets boring again. The more patchs the better.

To be honest though, i've pretty much given up on making any missions. The general movement of the AI while in aware mode just isn't good enough IMHO. In its current state the aware movement is ruining my immersiveness as it's total and utter bollocks. I'm not going into details because it's a subject that's really pissing me off, and before you call me a whiner, i actually love this game except for the already mentioned problem    

Have you noticed the wall banging smiley, it wasn't available for Flashpoint. I think the devs knew we would need this for when ArmA was released
