And some flying. I arrived at Lechlade, a meager 2 miles from the base/car parks at 08:00, 2 hours before the flying was due to start. It... took... 5 fucking hours to get from Lechlade to Fairford, at 8 in the morning. Needless to say, I was unimpressed. Especially because I missed ALL the American displays (F-15, B-1B, Thunderbirds etc) which were pretty much the main reason I went. Un-freaking-happy.

While we were at the victory column, 2 "Bundeswehr" convoys came past. About 15 coaches each. The first had full coaches, the 2nd empty (definitely different convoys), each coach had an army officer onboard, and was full of plain clothed people. They were escorted by Polizei, regular Army (including unimog ambulances) and Feldjager units.
