WIP: stuff you are working on!

Recommended Posts

the ghilie would look alot better if youd add some transparency to it, making it appear in strands rather than solid strips.

Yeah, could be. But AFAIK transparent textures do not cast shadows, so there would still be something wrong with the picture.

With CO type you get propper shadows.

Still working on my model, but I have problems with the shadows...

The shape of the car in the shadow lod is the same as in the first lod, and shadow lod is smaller then the First View lod, so the shadow lod is not intersecting the view lod. But still i get those hole in the shadow, which is not supposed to be there...

Is the model all triangles with no open holes and no smoothing?

I was just excited with the idea of it.. would like to know the dimension of the planed terrain.

Some time ago while looking for a place to start i noticed Al Kut but thought it would be probably too complex for me at that time.

Now i'm curious if the project is on wheels and how it is.

They use a different type of shadow. Those soft shadows wouldn't look right on infantry, too blocky for small objects.

Maybe the strips could simply be left out of the shadow LOD so they don't cast shadows?

Ask OFMan as to whether you could borrow some of the plants from his Uhao island, too. Though I'm not sure whether any of them are not BIS ones. I think the banana plants are new, but not sure about les palms.

I have the feeling that the palm trees used on this Uhao island are the BI's original ones.. I might be wrong, but the pics do not fool me smile_o.gif

@OFMan correct me if im wrong.

Anyway i just interested im Palm trees.. New kind and visually different palm trees.

The high resolution model and Textures finished almost.

However, time hangs to complete it still. tounge2.gif

I was wondering if there were any news regarding this wonderful T-55? I know lots of folks are anxiously awaiting it. smile_o.gif

Delete the pics from your post mate. You're not meant to quote images.

These are the latest pics from rygugu's blog (dated October 15th):

over 100kb

He updates fairly regularly:
