As T-55 and T-55M are 99.8% finished...

Something completely different! RACS M60A3 battle tank. Almost finished too. Been watching AI tank duels between T-72s and M60A3s.

Well, here's my work so far. I'm not really an expert so here's my first addon.

As you can see there are no cockpits and landing gears. (+ other minor details)

I was thinking of giving it up cause there's no way its going to be in ArmA due to I'm using 3dsMax and importing it to 02Light seems next to impossible.

I would try and finish up a good part of it, as I imagine the new tools will be soon and you'll be able to import newer things using that.

Export model to .3ds format from 3dsMax and you are good to go.

Currently 3k faces, rear gunner (hopefully functional) will add ~800. Should be able to simulate the 3.7cm guns as 'zuni'. No gear anim or HUD wink_o.gif

tried it but turns out very messed up. My left wing go backwards, my right wing pointing up etc...you get the picture.

save as obj

then use anim8tor with the kfdata dummy section turned on

and export it into 3ds

this will work...

You have to reset Xform before exporting.

I'm starting with M60A3 again and made a new discovery.

If I remember correctly there was some discussion about walking on vehicles.

Ever wondered why there are eject and get out commands for land vehicles? We'll it seems that I'm now able to use get out command from the commander's hatch and actually end up standing on top of the turret smile_o.gif

Not using png for a start. There really is no need to use png for images captured in a game engine. You'll want to edit or get rid of those pics too, before you get a WL

Try jpg, which at that res should give you no problems file-size wise (and if it does, ~5% compression ought to sort it right out)

I was asked to put an image about M60A3.. well here is something I have been watching lately. The road wheels, idler wheels, the tracks...

Rotating and mirroring stuff with O2 is pretty annoying. You have to switch view type in order to get a different rotation axis. Mirroring also flips normals.

Next to texturing. Expect a release during this week.

The F-16 is going to be the first release - it's currently serving as a test bed for my learning the new ArmA config & scripting.

Once I've got the basics sorted out, more planes will follow (Phantom, Hawk 200, Backfire, etc)
