william1 0 Posted May 15, 2009 she 's beautiful Sumrak :o and the island , is it the same from the first release? looking good too
Sumrak 6 Posted May 15, 2009 @All: Thansk :) @william1: No, it's current version. I work on Namalsk in the last weeks more than normally, because i must advance in progress. Namalsk is not big island, but there is lot of buildings and detailed places :) I have for now c. 60% completed. Namalsk from first release is very old, only with north and is not good optimalized. In the last months i work on heavy optimlization and i got now on most places +10 and more fps I have plan to release in month completed Namalsk (i hope).. So, wait, storm of screenshots (maybe videos) come in next days/weeks :p :D

Col. Faulkner 0 Posted May 16, 2009 Hello everyone!I've been really busy on other things (projects) but just a quick update on my Woodland DPM for my British Infantry, just want to know what people think of it as i'm not too happy with the version i currently have on the current release version (its much lighter and doesn't really have the black in it). Anyway let me know what you think. You seem to have captured the colour scheme of the latest 95 pattern temperate (not "woodland"! :) ) combat dress really well. British DPM is a bit of a challenge to reproduce well in these models (or so I've found, anyway). Even just getting the colours to come out right when rendered in the game can be an exercise. Is writing the calibre onto pouches commonly done? (why?) Here's one of my W.I.P. guys wearing (my sad attempt at) a much earlier pattern of DP smock; one of the several variants of the 1968 pattern "Smock, Combat" :
slatts 1978 Posted May 16, 2009 Not 80 tons, it is 80 kilo tons :) *ahem* yea i meant that... :P
max power 21 Posted May 16, 2009 Very nice, Col. Faulkner. I think you have some good scale on that camo pattern. The rest of the equipment is very nice aswell, from what I can see. Congrats also on the model weighting. It looks like the deformations are quite nice.
STALKERGB 6 Posted May 17, 2009 (edited) ahem... edited... Temperate :) Thats my brothers annoying influence lol. Looking nice Col. Faulkner, love the '68 pattern you got there. Edited May 17, 2009 by STALKERGB

CameronMcDonald 146 Posted May 20, 2009 (edited) Looks decent, just don't forget to ditch those godforsaken LWMHs. You may also consider making the IBA's MOLLE straps a teeny bit larger vertically (I know my own recent attempt was a bit small - dodge UV mapping) and reworking the normals - it needs to stand out a bit more. Don't forget about the shoulder pockets that the velcro sits on, either. :) And your pattern looks a bit large, but you've got the actual uniform, so I'll shuddup. When my shitty internet lets Photobucket load I'll stick up a pic of my own attempt before I decided to sit back and wait for ArmA II to come out before doing anything else. EDIT - Hyar she blows.
