minor update

gp30 now has a normal and a specular map :P

ak74m muzzle needs some tweaking ( thx to denorc!wink_o.gif

nephilim that AK looks awsome, but if i could make one suggestion, it would be to tweak the specular and gloss to make it look less "polished" and have more of a flat anodized finish.

wish i could make textures as good as you  biggrin_o.gif

my HK416 would look 10 times better then it does now with nice textures that show nicks and scratches that let the metal show under the flat black anodized finish.

my real 416 is still new, so i cant use it for textures.  wink_o.gif

Is anyone making C130- Gunship ? anyone seen Call of Duty 4 videos with Thermal Image like you see on military videos can that actually be put into Arma would be awesome. ?

In order to do that you'd need scripts that calculate the distance to the target and speed of the aircraft as well as the bullet-drop of each cannon and speed of each projectile! On top of that you'd need some actual FLIR looking stuff. Complicated!

Isnt the bullet drop calculated anyway? The cannons on an AC-130 would fire the same way as a Blackhawk at high altitude. so everything is in the ARMA engine, I presume that the thermal camera thing would be the biggest prob.

The bullet drop and movement of the aircraft needs to be COMPENSATED FOR by the automatic electronic sights.

ok, seeing as this thread is in desperate need of CPR.. i may as well post a little something to bring it back from the brink.

so yea its obvious they are both WIP ^_^

oh and all dimentions are 100% 1:1 to their real world brothers.

also i have a number of aircraft in the works, i'll post up pictures when they are more "finished".

just as a prelude to whats to come.

well.. alot lol

the F18 has 12,776 faces so far.

the F14 has 8,078 (yea i know huge difference, still working on it)

the HK416 so far has 17,319.

and the G36 has (deep breath) 33,839 faces. (i got all the internals modeled including the riffeling in the barrel... the spring coils and barrel make up most of the polycount).

once im finished with them, they will all have low poly copies for ArmA.

MAS AH-64's M230 WIP, no ammunition feed, rearmost part of the brush guard positioned incorrectly, notch at the front accidently detached and some details are still in debate.

I'm aware that they are a WIP but AFAIK the G36 has a bird cage flash hider unlike the K and C which have the pronged one.

The 416 upper looks good 2nd one i've seen so far other one being the SJB one.
