Replacement Pack -Ebud's US SF

Recommended Posts

Sir,

Would it be possible in your next release to create a more inclusive Package by having the following added? I understand that this is pack is aimed at creating the US Army Special Forces but these days it is a joint operations world.

1 SF personnel with "Green Beret" in the different camo uniforms

1 USAF Para-Rescue in the different Camo uniforms (like a Medic but with a slightly larger cargo capacity)

1 USAF Combat Controller in the different Camo uniforms

Navy Seals All Classes

Marine Force Recon

I find it hard to create Special Ops Missions without all the players. Thank you for your time and effort.

I would like to, but the truth is that I'm a programmer, not a modeler.

The units contained in this replacement pack where made by ebud (that's stated all over the readme), all I did was applied a little knowhow to enable them to replace the BIS units.

I don't know jack about 3d modeling. While I've sometimes considered learning, it's not something I really have the time to do.

If someone makes the units in question, I would consider doing a replacement pack for them, but that's about the extent to which I can realy contribute on that front.

1) They're not his units, they're Ebud's (as he has stated several hundred times.

2) Yes, it would be possible, but Ebud would have to update the units and reskin the 1.07BETA models instead of the <1.05 models. This would pose a few issues as some of the units used are the Saboteurs, which now have drastically different models (Protec helmets instead of the older PASGT(?) helmets, no backpacks etc).

the reason I asked sanders(lite) about it, its because I tought it was just coding issue....

btw nice job sanders, replacements are my most favorite addon inlove.gifinlove.gifinlove.gif

Just FYI, permission has not been removed or anything. I just haven't gotten around to updating the links on stuff I reorganised my webspace.

This addon can be found at said webspace, along with everything else I've ever released for ofp and arma.

Just click the banner in my sig wink_o.gif.

Is this working on 1.8? Because I do everything as you told but it doens´t work and as you said that it was only tested on 1.5 I am affraid that this is the case here.

If so are you going to release an update.

Best regards

Personally actively using it in v1.08 german.

I'll make sure I'm actually using the same version as you after I get some sleep.

2 things to check on your own though.

1: Make sure you're not attempting to run another replacement pack that also replaces the us SF units.

2: Check around for another version of Ebud's units. Either older or newer. It's possible you're using a version of them that's either too old or too new.

My mistake! I thought this would replace all units! But it is only for the SF units right?

If that so it is all ok.

Thanks for the support.

hello guys.

i downloaded the ebu socom from both the mirrors linked on armaholic site but each version doesn't work.

just at the starting screen of the game i receive an error message saying: "No entry: bin\Config.bin/CfgVehicle\SoldierWB.woman" and when i try to preview a mission from the mission editor i receive this other error message "No entry: bin\config.bin/CfgFaces" even if in the mission edit screen there one only standard ArmA BLUFOR Rifleman.

Moreover if i try to load one of the demo missions inside this pack i receive: "No entry: bin\Config.bin/CfgVehicle\SoldierWB.Saboteur".

How can i fix this problem?

thanks.

Standard stuff first.

1: What game version are you running?

2: Have you messed with your game's pbo files?

3: Try getting the mod off of my personal webspace to be sure that the main armaholic site doesn't have an ancient version of the mod (unlikely, but possible)

4: Are you using the latest version of ebud's units.

5: Are you running other mods. If you are try temporilly disabling them to see if it clears the problem up.

ColonelSandersLite, without your various replacement add-ons, i would have never discovered how good ArmA can truly look.

now that the public server community is moving to more secure instances, would it be possible that you sign your wonderful additions?

Yeah, I'll sign it soon. I've already started signing addons, it's just a matter of going back through the previous releases and resigning them. Actually signing them isn't hard, but updating the documentation, and doing all the release BS for that many mods is a pain in the ass wink_o.gif.
