ArchangelSKT 0 Posted June 13, 2008 OFP2 to be lead cover feature in August edition of PC Gamer it says now on the official forum, it will be an in-depth article on what to expect of the game. At least it looks like there will be some more firm information.
Average Joe 0 Posted June 13, 2008 Hey Guys, Goodnews...the waiting for information appears to be imminent! As quoted by Helios from the Codie forums. Quote[/b] ]Hi everyone,I know you have all been waiting patiently for more information regarding the game, and it's with pleasure that I can say that Operation Flashpoint 2 will be the lead cover feature in next months edition of PC Gamer. The magazine will be going on-sale on July 3rd, and will feature a huge in-depth article regarding what you can expect to see in the game! It's been a long wait for everyone but you should be seeing a lot more information being released in the next few months ___ Goodstuff! http://community.codemasters.com/forum/showthread.php?t=288079
Sennacherib 0 Posted June 13, 2008 thx for the feedback. this is a great news
SaBrE_UK 0 Posted June 14, 2008 Excellent looking forward to the read, but for those who can't get access to the article, perhaps someone who does have access to it could scan it like someone did for the original PC ZONE article? Anyone willing?
gsleighter 0 Posted June 14, 2008 If it's in the US PC Gamer, I'll do it as soon as the issue shows up in the mail.
CameronMcDonald 146 Posted June 15, 2008 I'll be holding you to that - hopefully Codies will raise the curtain a bit for us.
gsleighter 0 Posted June 16, 2008 Badass 1st ID units for a couple magazine scans? Sounds fair to me!
djackl 0 Posted June 16, 2008 BIS currently is occupying a very narrow niche. I didn't think that making games that are sufficiently bugged so as to be unplayable counted as a niche.
SaBrE_UK 0 Posted June 16, 2008 Thanks for volunteering, gsleighter.
Placebo 29 Posted June 16, 2008 I didn't think that making games that are sufficiently bugged so as to be unplayable counted as a niche. Trolling is neither big nor clever, please refrain.
kavoven 4 Posted June 17, 2008 CM just annouced their E3 lineup and OFP 2 is under the four games. So we're really going to see some ingame screenies.
MehMan 0 Posted June 17, 2008 Hmm, interesting, it sure sounds as if they might not be blowing smoke but actually doing something. I just hope the vast open landscape won't become Half Life 2 Ep 2 last level vast open landscape. Keeping my fingers crossed it's not going to be a corridor shooter. NoRailgunner 0 Posted June 17, 2008 Corridor shooter sounds like more money = game for the masses. I'll bet CM will make "tactic shooter" with great but unreal graphics, sfx and another bad fictional action story. Lets wait and watch the marketing stuff & buzz until we can play the demo and the game.
Stryder 0 Posted June 19, 2008 Lead article coming up in PC gamer I know there's a lot of skepticism about it, but so far everything they've said points to them making an even more hardcore shooter. (lets not forget OFP was very commercially successful, at least in Europe, which is where Codies is based) Hopefully we'll be able to stop speculating soon. Anyways, mag will be hitting the shelves July 3rd (this applies to UK, US, French editions of PC Gamer and also a well-known PC Gaming magazine in Germany.) It will be a huge indepth article covering the game. Source: http://community.codemasters.com/forum....1&pp=

kavoven 4 Posted June 19, 2008 Placebo, will BI be at the E3?
mr.g-c 6 Posted June 22, 2008 OFP2 delayed to spring 2009 already: http://www.codemasters.de/games/index.php?gameid=1192&format=-1 So it get later and later.... i bet we wont see OFP2 before summer 2009 or even later. Thats good and so i only have to buy one game - Arma2
Placebo 29 Posted June 22, 2008 Placebo, will BI be at the E3? Â That's a very good question
MehMan 0 Posted June 22, 2008 It's pretty obvious that OFP2 won't be released for at least another year. But if that's good or bad news will be seen after the E3. However, they might just show some more prerendered footage, like last year.
SaBrE_UK 0 Posted June 22, 2008 Well I've got university so won't be playing games much anyway. Also, I've spent all my life without OFP 2, so what's an extra year?
Stryder 0 Posted June 22, 2008 Fine with me to have it come out in 2009, that way Arma 2 and OFP2 aren't direct competitors and I can just buy both (and hopefully enjoy both)
dale0404 5 Posted June 23, 2008 Ok, can we please, please please get some information as to when Arma2 will be released? Even if its 'in 2008' or 'before 'OFP2' would be nice. Please!!!!
