OFP2 to be lead cover feature in August edition of PC Gamer it says now on the official forum, it will be an in-depth article on what to expect of the game.

At least it looks like there will be some more firm information.

CM just annouced their E3 lineup and OFP 2 is under the four games. So we're really going to see some ingame screenies.

Hmm, interesting, it sure sounds as if they might not be blowing smoke but actually doing something. I just hope the vast open landscape won't become Half Life 2 Ep 2 last level vast open landscape.

Keeping my fingers crossed it's not going to be a corridor shooter.

Corridor shooter sounds like more money = game for the masses.

I'll bet CM will make "tactic shooter" with great but unreal graphics, sfx and another bad fictional action story. Lets wait and watch the marketing stuff & buzz until we can play the demo and the game.

Lead article coming up in PC gamer

I know there's a lot of skepticism about it, but so far everything they've said points to them making an even more hardcore shooter. (lets not forget OFP was very commercially successful, at least in Europe, which is where Codies is based) Hopefully we'll be able to stop speculating soon.

Anyways, mag will be hitting the shelves July 3rd (this applies to UK, US, French editions of PC Gamer and also a well-known PC Gaming magazine in Germany.)

It will be a huge indepth article covering the game.

It's pretty obvious that OFP2 won't be released for at least another year. But if that's good or bad news will be seen after the E3. However, they might just show some more prerendered footage, like last year.

Fine with me to have it come out in 2009, that way Arma 2 and OFP2 aren't direct competitors and I can just buy both (and hopefully enjoy both)
