Skaven 0 Posted April 14, 2007 I was asked to make SpetsNatz with the Russian cammo I am using from my Mercs. I changed the cammo a bit in colour and this is how they look so far. The red beret will of course be changed as soon as I am able to edit the model. In the pictures you can see an AK-74M, an AKS74U and an AK103, most of the weapons are imported I just made some scopes, changed colors, reduced polys/faces and so on (made them playable). This ones will probably be in game if I get the permission from the authors of course, if not I'll make some or again I'll ask someone to make them for me. A picture with my textures based on the picture on the left, I know my texture is a lot darker but it's on purpose, in my opinion it blends better in the islands vegetation, and the game adds a lot of light to the models, specially in a sunny day. Also some of the insignias used. I still need to clarify if this are really the insignias they use, according to my research they are still... can anyone please help me on this? 7 0 Posted April 14, 2007 It's too dark even ingame. I can clearly picture myself one of those units on the mountain in picture and they wouldn't blend in. EDIT: IIRC they don't wear the red berets in combat. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Speznaz AK-74 (with NV and grenade launcher) "insignia" In combat they (like all specops) use different kinds of camouflage. Spetnaz GRU teams usually wear standard-issue VDV uniforms, light blue VDV berets and unit patches in order to avoid identification. However, they can also wear different uniforms, for instance, they would wear the uniform of a unit which is stationed nearby, in order to blend in. Motto: "Nobody but us. Russian speznaz."
