i'm going to add some details, and I think that this vehicle will be finished. smile_o.gif

Someone asked if I would make some recovery vehicles, excepted the ambulance; for the moment, I don't have ideas. so instead I have begun a repair center.

btw for the ambulance, should I add a weapon? machinegun?

Repair Center COOL!!  biggrin_o.gif As for the Ambo with a weapon I'd say no, plus this would balance it with Mr Ducks Terran ambo too

well, I wasn't sure for a weapon for the ambulance. now, I'm sure that the ambo won't have a weapon tounge2.gif

Wow, that repair center idea sounds great, D@nte! Hope you make it an independant "object" so that it can be placed like a garage/workshop able to fix any vehicle. I was always disappointed that in OFP the buildings that were supposed to fulfill that role never did (unlike the gas stations that always worked flawlessly).  thumbs-up.gif

Also, nice work on the fighter! Looks Schecksi!  biggrin_o.gif

Btw, could they have an alternative paintjob, like in all-metal finish?

Edit: Come think of it, could it be kind of some sort of mobile deployable repair station?

Here's some practical ideas based on our repairshops on base.

1. A covered area to keep the vehicle out of the weather during repair.

2. Spare parts IE tyer stacks and crates (tyers could just be from 1 of your units)

3. A raised platform to drive the vehicle up on for work on the underside.

4. a couple of diagnostic computer terminals

5. Hazardous chemicals storage shed.

6. A Crane arm for heavy component lifting (engines etc)

These are all common things found around our repair bays (with the exception of the diagnostic computers, we arent that hitech  wink_o.gif  ) Just some food for thought for u

Knowing the issues with object collision of OFP I doubt that doing a drive-on platform WON'T result in said vehicle starting to bounce as if it were on a big air ball...

Personally as I said I wouldn't mind seeing a more mobile repair shop, one that would be deployed by a vehicle, and could be repacked onto the vehicle for deployment elsewhere - that would work in OFP, Airwolf Mod have one of their Volkswagen Minibusses as FIA army ambulances set up so that it deploys a working medical tent where soldiers can heal... therefore, a large vehicle deploying a mobile repair station would be cool ( something that would look like it could easily be put together and then later dismantled for transport ) ... Would be cool to have a rather large (larger than any recovery vehicle so far) tracked mobile repair shop deploying vehicle... inlove.gif

The ultimate deploying vehicle would be an MCV smile_o.gif Very C&C but i think it would be pretty cool smile_o.gif

Oh and the ambulance shouldn't have a weapon as such as its against the Geneva convention, most armoured ambulances only have smoke launchers.

Yeah, I agree, something approaching the MCV would be cool, but I think it should look more like a deployable base rather than something that looks like it's there to construct other things... In any case it should be tracked and massive! biggrin_o.gif

yeah, the idea is excellent, but some scripts would be necessary (to deploy the vehicle). And i'm not a scripter sad_o.gif

Yeah, something with the length and width of the vehicle in focus of the pic you posted D@nte, but with the taller height of the vehicle to the left (the one with the trailer). That should prove to be a nice concept. Alas, I could try to take a pic of the Mobile Command Post (MCP) of the game Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, with a construction arm instead of the missile... I'll try to get a screenie soon... But here's a pic of it...

sorry, no new stuff. i was really busy with the real life. I have just modified the model of the gunship and change the textures of the body:

this model will be with and without armored plates. I'm going to change the minigun and add a shield for the gunner.

the other vehicles will have a turret: 6x6 (no transport) and 8x8 with a transport capacity. smile_o.gif

Nice vehicle, D@nte! I always liked 6-wheelers biggrin_o.gif Could it be armed with a large cannon, like those anti-tank wheeled vehicles? That would be best, since it could be configured as a 6-wheeler. But I do like the design. Is the 8-wheeler going to be much different from the previous design?

about the design. one of the 8x8 wheeler (without the cargo capacity) will be different. it will keep the genral design but different tounge2.gif

in fact, I take the current vehicles (Piranha, Pandur) as exemple.

Ah, and I hope the gatling gun on the gunship will also be movable (like it's visuals indicate). Dunno if it's no biggie to config, but if you need an example on how a single pilot manages flying AND aiming a turreted weapon, there's, amongst others I guess, the example of Cassandra's what-if chopper, the X-31A thumbs-up.gif

Can i suggest if ur making the turrent why not make the main gun off-centre from it (left or right side) to give it a more futuristic design and a point of interest that hasnt been done in OFP before.

NOTE"i dont know if this is actually acheivable within the game engine, just a thought"  crazy_o.gif
