I guess it would be possible, Steele - just take a look at BIS's Kamov helicopter, there the gun is "off-center". Personally I would prefer it to be in the center, but wouldn't mind it being elsewhere, as long as it has no obstruction regarding a full 360 degree of arc of fire (hmm, thinking of which and looking at the pictures, as it is it wouldn't have a 360 degree arc of fire (rear seems to be blocked) , that would be great if it could be fixed), and the best possible elevation/depression, similar to the Apache's and Cobra's gun...

it has also that, on the textures, I have drawn a system for that.

btw: when the uvmapping is done, if I want to change or add an object, I must change also the uvmapping; and that take a long time, and the texture is lost (I must do again the lightingmap) smile_o.gif

the gunship has 5 textures, so you can imagine, how that was difficult to put all the small parts on them.

I don't use the BIS system to put the textures.

btw again: I search a new name for the Mod. ideas?

- words which could be use: water, sand .... maybe mesopotamia or something about the Sumerians, the Phoenicians and the Assyrians

as soon as possible; i must finish the gunship (currently i do the lods) + the selections for the soldier (that doesn't work fine, this is my biggest problem)

that will be the first release; the second one will be later (new vehicles, the bad side etc etc )

I try to find a new program (i don't want to buy fraps) and i would post a video with the weapons. wink_o.gif

btw: what do you think about the Air transport vehicle?

The air transportation vehicle looks great, but looks more like it's a civilian vehicle rather than military, because when opened it reveals a lot of open space through which (discounting the vehicle's game hitboxes of course) could be sniped through... But looks great, even if as a civilian vehicle! thumbs-up.gif (And such could be great to see around to add atmosphere) .

Transport Questions and observations:

Seating;

being an open cargo hold the seats should really be arranged to allow the occupants to face outwards so that they can atleast return fire (central isle seating with the equipment bins on either side).

Landing Skids;

Change these from one large straight skid on either side to several smaller ones as the side long skids will be to unstable if it needs to land on rough surfaces (debrie strewn streets and the like)

Roof;

make this thicker to protect against shrapnel and airbust weapons, the floor is a good thickness so something similar for the roof would work.

Hope that helps, i know its quite abit of re-modeling so iqnore my surggestions crazy_o.gif

i'm going to use special animations for that like in killzone. Before this model, i tried to make the vehicle as your idea (take a look at the old pics), but that wasn't good wink_o.gif

keep the main name but change the other one to somthing like

inderpendece

or hope

those are just examples or you could just kee unicron?
