Official CrCTI @ArmA BETA release

Finally, it is done.

CrCTI has been ported to ArmA by Jack Hammersmith, T_D and Zyklone and is firstly released as beta v0.50.

This version works fine and only a few bugs are known.

For example JIP is not working correctly now and there is still the problem with the setpos bug.

If you find further bugs you can report them on the crCTI trac here(link).

Furthermore you can post suggestions and ideas there when you are registered.

Every help for developing the crCTi further is appreciated.

Interested scripters can contact me via PM.

Well...

Nice work Jack, but here comes the first bug:

All West AI initially spawned at island up north..

Couldnt get out.

The Starting location was N NE of Airport.

fixed.

Have forgotten to delete my testvars so random spawn was disabled.

Just download it again.

PS: testing in editor wont work anymore.

Problem still there..

ALL AI squad leaders spawn at Isla something..

Even East..

No matter what i as CO say..No matter if it´s a

AI CO.

1: sara.lite: AI respawn at Isla De Libertad no matter what.

2: sara: AI respawn at Antigua, no matter what

Several bugs fixed.

Jack I was playing last night and everything was going well I got about three or four towns then the AI just Stopped working they were at a stand still like the server crashed but it didn't. It seemed to happen when I started adding M1s to the AI if that helps.

I went to option to make sure they were ordered right but they wouldn't do anything but of course East AI was still owning me so they didn't have to problem.

It was me and another guy playing against the East AI.

Yo, this happens sometimes, but it looks like, it happens only if the AI buys units for them self.

Ones i had this, i set all options to "default" in the "AI Order Options" menu (dont wait for transport - keep $0 - dont buy AI), and they started to work again.

Hmm, yesterday we played a match (4vs4) for 3 hours.

AI was moving the whole time.

7 of 8 were using new Beta ArmA patch.

Seems like BIS has fixed the AI. wink_o.gif

wow - PERFECT!

we installed this map/addon on our server #1 crCTI Global Earth Re-Union in PERSISTENT MOD! IT WORKS.

Currently the AI is playing against each other and you can join and play with them or you wathc them as a visitor.

Hope we will see us soon on this server.

@DVD version of crCTI 1.0rc @arma.

Changes:

- over 90% of all weapon, vehicle and impact sounds are replaced with better ones,

- redused weapons recoil to OFP style,

- removed the tracer of assault rifles, MG/LMGs still have tracer,

- tanks have zoom for the tank commander, extra zoom is also available for some more weapons,

- OFP like balance, eg. M1A1 needs 3-4 sabot of the new T72M (almost strong like the T80 in OFP) & T72A,

- the engine of all tanks won't turn on by turning the turret,

- fixed inf. AT weapons, the infantry won't fire on enemy inf. with AT136/RPG7

- M136 and RPG7 fire looks better, also the Ai wont fire over 250m,

- removed the recoil of MK19 and AGS30, so they shot correctly now,

- created FIA vehicles (T72, BMP 2 & UAZG),

- and use the Resistance Troops 1.1 reskin by Rellikki, as FIA,

- created camoflaged buildings & static defence,

- replaced ACU Army soldier to Marpat Marines, reskin by HePCaT,

- removed some dust FX or reduced some,

- added GPS for Officers and Squadleader (the player units in crCTI)

- removed all original weapon transport, in all vehicles but ...

- ... added bigger cargospace for magazines and weapons, to avoid the "ammo bug"

- MGuns >= DShKM / M2 Browning aim and fire on helicopters, so they can be used as AA Guns now

- removed the FFAR for Helicopter and Planes,

- added 1500rnd instead of 300 to Harrier GAU12,

- the SU34 got 8AT rockets now,

- both sides got the RHIB as boat (west and east version)

- US troops got M68 handgrante instead of the timed M67, because the AI can't handle the timed HG well.

edit: I like the change, also the recoil of weapons are better for my taste. Only there are some stuff that should be reviewd. MG recoil is the same if your prone or up.

I like the sounds in general smile_o.gif

It looks much like OFP and it looks smoother too biggrin_o.gif

But i have to say credit goes to Jack, T_D & Zyklone, since they do the boring part (porting crCTI) and im just the clown who works on a bit more playable units. smile_o.gif

Yes your right with the mg recoil, well i quess a little update follows a few days after patch 1.07.

Some sounds are a bit to quiet (e.g. t72 engine) and e.g. the AT5 is bit to maneuvrability .. well anyhow it the 1st version. smile_o.gif
