eventhandler problems

hi..

im using this code to activate a trigger when shots are fired.

this addEventHandler ["fired",{_this exec "my.sqs"}]

it works  ... however it is activated every time a round is fired ..  so if the enemy gives a long burst the script fires several times ..  is there a way  so the script is activated  on the first shot only ??..

solved thanx to the kind folk at ofpec .. hadnt set my varaiables
