r3pent 0 Posted March 5, 2007 wtf.....i keep getting turned into a seagull while playing MP,i DONT get killed and i DONT go out of bounds,it just pops up and says in text.....(i think)good birds dont run from this game,its my own fault whats my own fault? but then i can press respawn....whats all this about?? r3pent 0 Posted March 5, 2007 its not mission specific....its on lots of them.i can be running along,or hiding behind a wall,the poof,as if by magic im a seagull......and its saying in the chat text something about good birds and not running and it my own fault??? i have mentioned it to the guys on the server...and they say i must have gone out of bounds...but i aint...there have been guys next to me...i have been right next to enemy flag..... it allows me to respawn and carry on playing but its so annoying Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Synide 0 Posted March 5, 2007 ArmA and FADE/Securom 'assumes' that if you are using a 'image' mounted on a virtual DVD drive then you are a pirate. It does not have the capability to make the additional distinction that yes you might be using a virtual mounted image, but hey the CD key is legit so don't activate FADE. r3pent 0 Posted March 5, 2007 well jerry hopper,if ya look in the trouble shooting section you will see a post called "securom my ass" that will explain all,its not only me but a few others who have this prob with securom and mounting the image on DT is the only way around it(few reg tweaks). ill try get a screeny soon,i have also heard of other fade attributes...like shots goin wild...not encountered those yet. (http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard311/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=68;t=58912;st=0) And what i eventually read are solutions taken from warez-boards. has it ever occurred that people that play around with hider-tools etc, are just ASKING for problems? i bet some of those people used tools like protstop-starfuck-curerom etc etc. if you use daemontools primarily for movies, hiding tools are not needed. btw: the thread doesnt show any person that tried reproducing this error on a CLEAN windows. God knows what kinda crap people install these days.... sidenote : i have DT enabled, and official DVD in dvdplayer, all latest versiosn, whatever i mount in DT, Arma works.
