enforcer1975 0 Posted February 25, 2007 Havent they told something about grass beeing to be turned off serversided? What parameter do i have to add to enable no grass on clients?
strango 5 Posted February 25, 2007 Based on the change log the grass is tied to Terrain Grid, so it will be the missions that force if grass is used and not the server. Use the setTerrainGrid command in the mission to set the level. Here is the wiki link: SetTerrainGrid
Heatseeker 0 Posted February 25, 2007 I thought server settings will override client side or mission settings such has terrain detail and visibility ? To disable grass you must have terrain detail set to very low, yeah?
Mr Fenix 0 Posted February 25, 2007 Grass is still there when client sets terrain to Very Low. I've been there .
mattxr 9 Posted February 25, 2007 i will test this, but i think in all my latest missions the terrain grid is auto set to
Heatseeker 0 Posted February 25, 2007 Grass is still there when client sets terrain to Very Low. I've been there . Because terrain and visibility are set server side... You wouldnt expect diferent clients to play a mission on a server with diferent terrain detail and visibility settings would you?
enforcer1975 0 Posted February 25, 2007 Thats why i asked the question in the first place. It looks awfull but it runs much smoother and in a firefight its fair for the one lying prone because he can see the other one as well.
