Example: nearestObject [player, "StreetLamp"] switchLight "Off" <span id='postcolor'> That's what it says in the commandreference manual. But it didn't work for me... if you get it to work, please contact me! =) Grtz, WW
mister ofp 0 Posted February 11, 2002 nope seems that that command is used to set the general entire lamppost of the map.... it s used to open then AUTO (light in night) or you can set them off during night. Or directly light when it begins to be dark... that s pretty lame that we can only put this lamp with the editor upgrade and not light it... maybe the light properties are included on the WRP file.... or in another directory... (i was surprised that on the jungle everon map there was not that much lights... maybe the man who modified everon know something about that damn lampposts...). Bloodmixer 0 Posted February 12, 2002 I just did some testing and I can say that Command Reference command DOES work, only you need some patience as the command takes about 5-15 seconds to get into effect. I placed a barrel near a lamppost I wanted off, and called the barrel "barrel", then I created a radio trigger and did the following command : nearestObject [barrel, "StreetLamp"] switchLight "Off" and voila the light went off (AFTER A COUPLE OF SECONDS) the reverse worked too... Great stuff Greetings Bloodmixer
mister ofp 0 Posted February 12, 2002 seems that you really don t know what i m talking about.... i m talking about placed lamppost that re in the ofp editing addon + objects addon... the lamppost i placed with that don t light at all... a little off threat but for example : i placed some roads on desert island. the road seems to be fake (the car on the road roll as in sand). it seems that the lights are defined in the WRP file... try to place a lamppost with the editor addon and light it.. if you can you are a pro. (and please read the entire posts here before replying). thx READ EVERYTHING BEFORE SAYING ANYTHING. THX
