the anims dept is in need of hand signals, did you manage to put down a few ?

nice job on capturing some tho, any chance of a list of what you got?

Arrived at about 1 PM, after some calibrations etc started capturing at 2 PM then wrapped up the day at 5 PM.

Nice, MG reload anims, love to hear that. Also idle anims! Yay! But I'd like lots of idle anims and talking gestures and stuff like that. It would be kickass. Perhaps a sitting down on a chair chilling. Drinking anim(from a glass or a beer can). Bah, lots of ideas that I just can't remember right now.

teaCup works for FunCom, a Norwegian game company. We borrowed their MoCap studio.

techincally you dont need to have a "mocap" sutdio.

basically its just 8 cameras that record those little white balls

(trackers or whatever) and convert these into 3d information.

you could do that with roughly any camera you have around

if you have the proper software

Ok, in the end the weapon holding is eyecandy, but in the same line you could say about all animations. Just sad to see this (adjustable hand placement on weapons) didn't made it. I hope this will be addressed in the future.

Speaking of future addressed stuff: I wonder/hope BIS considers adding the stand-up launcher tube animation. If there is one thing i really miss (since VBS) it is that. God it helps in the battlefield. Try shooting a tank on longer range and drop your tube/take cover before that tank engages you. Looks like the tanks have ultra launch detection systems and guide coords build in. maybe that explains the 'beep' sound of tank when you launch one.

Anyway, don't suppose we (the com.) can implant this without a patch. Otherwise,... wink_o.gif

Looking forward to see the final animations and sorry for going slightly offtopic, if i did.

Great idea to make more surrender anims, perfect for hostage scenarios where you don't want all hostages to have the same movements! smile_o.gif

Some kick would've been great, too - for opening doors or kickin' annoying teammates wink_o.gif
