ryankaplan 1 Posted June 13, 2008 I find it surprising that the number 1 addon which should have been released (after the numerous M4 packs :P) hasnt been made yet. What i mean is some proper, very up to date regular 'Opfor' Infantry. We have 1985 units by vilas, we have Modern Naval Infantry and Airborne by RHS... but where is the Modern Russian Motorised Infantry? You are asking for the creation of a fantasy character with melee weapons (chains I believe) in a forum for a modern warfare simulator. You would be better advised looking to have such a character in a game like Oblivion or similar (ie a game that supports melee combat in a fantasy setting). Modelling chains, ropes or any similarly kind of flexible material is something ArmA does not do well. Engine limitations aside, that kind of fantasy figure would not fit well into any given ArmA environment - so you'd probably need to create an entire mod around it to even get people interested. So naturally I started wondering if anyone in the ArmA community was working on duplicating this effect. Or if there is an addon or mod that makes them functional could someone point me in that direction. I searched the forums and got no results for paq-4. So please consider this a request. As for the animations, it would be nice if at least the straight walking/running animations would be made more woman-like, but even if not, its a start. Wondering if you can change the interior sound and the ground perspective sounds of the aircraft, and for the ground perspective there could be different sounds for different speeds and Altitude. Is anyone thinking about making one or would be willing to make one? The good news is that you would not need to worry about creating scripts for slowing down aircraft, the Amphibious assault ships only support vertical aircraft (such as the CH53, CH46, Osprey, Harriers, etc). This allows editors great freedom in customizaing content for a mission. Simple Platform Some simple wooden planks and platforms. Platform could be 1/2 meter square. These would not be affected by gravity, so you could put in a tree, or anywhere that an editor wants to place a unit but cannot currently. An invisible platform would be good too, also for unit placement. Wooden Planks Simple wooden planks of various lengths, also not affected by gravity.
