Mister Frag 0 Posted February 2, 2002 Which firewall are you using? I've not heard of a firewall that won't work with OFP...
EveronVetsAgainstTheWar 0 Posted February 3, 2002 You need to forward your external IP to your internal IP when using port 2234. To do this you need to connect to your Router. I have a linksys and I type 192.168.1.1 in my URL bar in IE and a login screen pops up. Do not type anything in the User but type admin in the Password. Go to the "Advanced" Tab. Then click on the "Forwarding" tab. You should now see a screen with a bunch of little boxes for you to type things in. For port type 2234. For which IP use yours. (You can find this out by going to Start> Run> winipcfg in Windows). Now when someone connects to you using the OFP, it will connect to that computer. Good luck

Mister Frag 0 Posted February 4, 2002 The complete list of ports and port types that must be opened up in the firewall is available on AvonLady's website, which you should bookmark. The two boxes you see are there to specify a port range, they are the starting and ending port number. Some of the ports need to be opened up for both UDP and TCP, others only for UDP; please see the above link for details.
rekrul 7 Posted February 5, 2002 AFAIK Linksys doesn't have any firewalls, but if you're sure you have a firewall you must use portforwarding like explained over and open the firewall on the same ports. -Rekrul
