Törni 0 Posted April 7, 2007 Vilas, I know this may sound a bit odd, but since you succesfully converted Bradley into ArmA, could you take a look at the recently released BMD-1? AI cannot drive it (only at very slow speed). Plus it goes into loop of rotating in place after it reaches a waypoint. Must be someting with the configs. Plus it has way too tough armor. Törni 0 Posted April 7, 2007 The problem only occur when AI is driving. The spinning happens no matter what the waypoint is set to. The speed is very slow always when AI drives. It is slower than soldiers walk. This is with version 1.0 has there been a newer release somewhere? As you said the textures are superb and under human control BMD-1 works like a dream. Törni 0 Posted April 7, 2007 I'm unpbo:ing file just right now. It must be something in the configs. Have to compare them to the other in-game vehicles. Just give a hint from where I should look at the fact that the exposed crew cannot be harmed at all? It is like they would still be inside the AFV. Any help is most welcome. Törni 0 Posted April 7, 2007 The driving speed is also strange. No matter what top speed I define in config the BMD just won't move any faster if AI drives it. I have tried diffrent values, but no avail. If it is something to do with the model itself, it gets two steps harder, but not undoable. Have to carry on experimenting. Törni 0 Posted April 7, 2007 Obviously there is a problem with a center point, pivot point or something by which the game engine determines where the vehicle is. It is as BMD is never able to reach the waypoint (same as with aircraft with the flyinHeight set at wrong altitude). So this too must be 3D model related problem. I just unzip the pbo file in addon folder. how to change config? there are 4 config files each in ww2 and mod you can only use 1 of them at each time... so remove the ones you dont want to use the 4 configs are CS (CS like weapon damage) BIS (Same damage as BIS weapons) EASY (Less accurate weapons so AI cant hit you as easy) HARD (More accurate weapons so AI CAN hit you easier) (pbo files are named something like VIL_WW2_CONF_HARD) so remove 3 of the configs Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
