Arma crashing

Recommended Posts

My ArmA is crashing all the time. I can play 30 sec and then it crashes. Goes to windows and gives microsoft error reporting. Sometimes I can play much longer. Maybe 30 mins before crash. Another problems is sometime when I go to some another screen ArmA stops responding. For example when I go to gear list, map or loading screen. It just stops doing anything. I must to go windows and kill arma.exe process. Sometimes map goes extremely slow also.

Arma Czech-version 1.02

Direct X 9.0c

Intel Core 2 Duo E6300

ASRock 755Dual-VSTA PCI-E

2x512Mb Kingston ValueRAM DDR 400Mhz@400Mhz at dual channel

Asus EAX1950PRO 256Mb

Same problem here, ArmA crashes 5 out of 6 times. It runs fine for about 15 to 20 minutes, then crashes with the error reporting window.

Intel Core2Duo E6400

2 x 512MB DDR2 533 Mhz

MSI Mainboard

Geforce 7900 GTO 512MB

430WATT cont. pwr. supply from Coolermaster

ArmA 1.02 German Version

Any ideas ? I think that the 430Watt PS is ok for this setup. The only external device is a TrackIR 4 and a sidewinder joystick, which got his own power supply.

When I turn off the sound hardware acc. my computes crashes with a hard reset. With hw acc. turned on it 'only' CTD.

I'm giving up now.

Update:

Arma does this very often too:

When I die, screen fades black and it doesn't come back. I hear sounds but nothing more happens. I can alt-tab to windows, but if I go back to Arma screen doesn't update. It shows same windows screen. So I can't do anything but close Arma.exe-process. Maybe these things have something to do with my ATI. Driver is newest one 6.12 without catalyst.
