jantenner 0 Posted December 15, 2006 "sie können diesen einsatz nicht spielen, weil er auf heruntergeladenen inhalten basiert, die gelöscht wurden" in english "you cannot play this mission, because of downloaded content which has been deleted" i get this error when trying to connect to some servers. what does it mean? i didnt delete anything, and just downloaded some missions from this forum here. arma 1.
feersum.endjinn 6 Posted December 15, 2006 I think it's about missing addon (G85_EditorAddon most likely). I got this error often when I was doing some addon testing work and messed up cfgPatches so that game thought there were some addons required that never existed in first place... Millenium7 0 Posted December 16, 2006 yep its a missing addon. Hopefully BIS will implement a feature that prompts you if you want to download addons (from a specified http/ftp and not just the server) instead of booting you off
Hudson 0 Posted December 16, 2006 ...Hopefully BIS will implement a feature that prompts you if you want to download addons (from a specified http/ftp and not just the server) .... I thought I heard something about an auto-addon download type thing in armed assault. If there is one how does it work? You said "not just the server" so I assume your talking about something like this. My biggest gripe with this current missing addon message is it gives you no indication of what addon you are missing. At least in flashpoint it would say cannot load mission, missing addon XXXX giving you at least the addon class name. With this current error message its just one giant turd hunt trying to track down the missing addon(s).
robert(uk) 0 Posted December 17, 2006 I think we need something like OFP-Watch. Not sure if the guy who made that will work on one for ArmA though. I hope he does...
